it is, you know at the start of a relationship, when you want to see your partner, you do anything to be with them and if its a long distance relationship you are prepared to travel to be with them nothing stops you. you can apply that to anything. If you a real, passion, want and desire to see someone you will. What people dont do speaks alot.
I didnt ever do anything to be with my partner at the start of my LDR ~ but i did anything within reason, taking whatever else was going on in my life into account. that was a lot easier for me to do when i had no kids and a flexible employer.
i think its about balancing and priorities, clearly priorities are different for different people.0 -

I didn't say I approved, but I've come across it a few times that Man City season ticket holders prioritise the matches above almost anything else.
At least the person has shown you where you stand in their priorities, so you can adjust your feelings towards them accordingly.0 -

This is going to sound awful notanewuser, but why not stuff the lot of them for a while, give yourself some breathing space, then cut the visits by half and eventually spend some great weekends with 'just' your kids?"I'm ready for my close-up Mr. DeMille...."0

there is a lot of selfishness around does anyone do anything anymore because they know someone else would like it?
For instance i dont really go a bundle of visiting my parents but I go. I know they like it see my point.
Its ok having priorities but as long as you dont regret anything. How many times have we heard i wish we had visited them more when they were alive?;):footie:0 -
I just wanted to let you know that there is another Butterfly House nearer to Sheffield. It is lovely and has lots of other animals that your daughter will be able to feed including meerkats. There is also an indoor craft and activity centre if you want to get her inside for a bit.

Also bits of Magna would be ok for your daughter in particular water and the outdoor playground which is brilliant but the building as a whole may scare her as it is massive, echoy and very dark.
Hopefully you will enjoy your weekend.0 -

Does it read like OP really wants this visit? Or her in laws?0 -

We don't choose to. The alternative is a tent in one of their gardens!!Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0
