I'm far from precious! But I don't see why I have to put up with it and I certainly wont. If someone sits next to me when im out somewhere smoking i'll make a comment to them. I get banging headaches when I'm around that smell it's not psychological at all it's disgusting. There's plenty of other smells I don't like but they don't give me headaches or make me feel ill!!
geez if someone sits next you when you are out who is smoking that's their choice. I am sure they haven't banned smoking outside yet!!

Your choice to move away from them.

Plenty of other smells do make people sick like BO and wee!! haha

I'm not saying that the smell isn't offensive - it can be, however you've proved my point. If a smell such as a person having one single cigarette in a whole day makes you so ill, that you have to leave work and go home sick, then you do have a problem of oversensitivity or intolerence.

And I'm sorry, but yes you do have to put up with it, or get another job.

the OP is not working so maybe they can ask this question at interview if there are smokers in the office/building/work place :rotfl:

Im not working at the moment but just have a question for hopefully when I do. I know people can't smoke in their workplace but often have fag breaks and smoke in their lunch hour. I can't stand the smell of smoke and it also gives me a banging headache so wouldnt be able to work with people like that. There is no way I could be forced to is there?

Are you looking for an excuse not to work?

I'm the same as the OP, I wouldn't work next to smokers, its disgusting and depressing. Also perfume and aftershaves, some people wear so much you almost choke on it. I would walk out of any job that made me work with these type of smells.

Then you'd better make sure you have another source of income, as any JSA claim would be sanctioned.

I'd rather be homeless than cooperate with people who smoked, wouldn't go near them

Of course because it's such fun being in the house 24/7! You have no idea of my circumstances so don't judge me.
