i rang that number for the second time yesterday.i asked if they could give me an exact date when i'd receive the duvet this week and she said it was in the hands of the supplier-so no she couldn't tell me when.checked my bank account and nothing's been refunded back as yet.is there nothing we as consumers can do if at the end of the day they refund us all-weeks after taking the cash?

Not had a letter or a refund, but not holding my breath for the duvet now........ glad some people got them though, it was a great deal.

My money has been refunded too. What a nerve taking money immediately, messing people around with lousy delivery information and then a refund because of their own incompetence.
No wonder their shops always have more staff than customers.

My money was taken out on the 20th May. Received a letter saying I would receive it on the 16th June. Money refunded to my card on the 11th June. Didnt receive an explanation why, so they told me to rind debenhams direct (08456055044).

Spoke to a snotty lady who said the supplier cant make them anymore (Yeah Right). I asked if I could be sent a replacement product, and she said No.

Not happy. I think i'll speak to trading standards....

Have spoken to Debenhams on 020 74083008 and they say in their T&Cs there is no contract until goods have been dispatched,( it also says,"2.3 We take payment from your card at the time we despatch your order, once we have checked your card details. Goods are subject to availability. In the event that we are unable to supply the goods, we will inform you of this as soon as possible. A full refund will be given where you have already paid for the goods."), so they have broken their own T&Cs by taking the money 3 weeks prior to their stated delivery date.

Have spoken to them on the phone and they say that the product has been discontinued!? well that is not my fault,I have a letter from them stating that
"this letter acts as an invoice for the following goods" to me that is a contract.

Have spoken to Consumer Direct who at first say that I have to abide by their T&Cs on the website, but as the letter states it is an invoice and they took the money the day after the online order they tend to agree that it is a breach of contract and I/we should be able to claim "loss of bargain" meaning that if they cannot supply the product then they have to make up the difference for us to obtain a similar product, they advise to put it in writing setting out the complaint and the fact that they broke their own T&Cs re the taking of the money prior to dispatch.

Head office Tel No:- 020 74084444

    Email addys:-

    head.office@debenhams.com

    jo.becker@debenhams.com (CEOs P.A.)

rob.templeman@debenhams.com (Rob Templeman is the CEO, so not to sure about this address).

So a lot of emails/recorded delivery letters might sort it?

i rang debenhams and had a job cos the lass told me to ring deb direct.she did eventually put me through but i got nowhere.trading standards told me to write a letter as well.i told them i'll never shop with them again and thought that debenhams might have offered a duvet of similar price to compensate.obviously the CS is crap and they aren't bothered.

can somebody do a template for a letter/email??? i'm no good with owt like that.not letting them get away with this.they've had all our money for wks-gaining interest on it.send us letters when they obviously know that they won't be able to supply us and then don't even bother sending emails to let us know we've been refunded.not a happy bunny
