just wanted to add my tuppence worth with online debenhams. i brought some items for my children in the run up to christmas. they sent me the wrong sized items so i sent them back, reordered them using my mums address as she would be in for delivery and they sent them to my address!! maybe its because i used the same email address and we have the same name? but surely someone can see different addresses?? again they forgot 1 item and eventually sent it to my mums address.. complete and utter shambles! emails got ignored i got fobbed off on the phone. the last item i was waiting for appeared to be exactly what i wanted right colour, right size on the hanger etc etc. it wasnt until i went to wrap it at christmas they had put the item on the wrong aged hanger they sent me age 2-3 when i wanted 3-4 and thats what the hanger said so i believed it:( so it was too small.. in the end i took it back to a store (which apparently your not allowed to do) i got a credit note which i sold to my mum and got my daughter something else.
2 months later i got a letter from debenhams stated i had items which should of been returned.. well you can imagine the reply they got lol they havent contacted me since and i will never buy online with them again. they are pigging useless.
It only seems kinky the first time.. :A

    Sorted!
Rang debenhams who refused to deal with me and told me to email them with my concerns:mad: . So instead I rang the bank and told them that Debenhams had stolen money from my account and what should I do? He told me to send him a copy of my confirmation email proving how much they should have taken, and hey presto a full refund issued this evening.
Will I still receive a duvet? Who knows? BUT I will never order anything from those robbing barstewards again!

Ive just rung the really snotty lady at debenhams.

The money £56 has been re-credited back on my card. Id heard nothing about what was going on.

The lady says "Im sorry the supplier says they can no longer get any stock in"!!! YEAH RIGHT.... I bet those people buying it at £70 can get one OK.

I feel another letter coming on.. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR debenhams

Well why do they keep advertising them? I have already complained to Consumer Direct the last time they did this,(2nd time, after they said they could not get any more), maybe more complaints to CD including the item number from the site.

OK I have complained about this again to Consumer Direct, they will pass it again to my local TS as an update re they are still advertising items they cannot supply, but my local TS are not the Home Authority TS and will only pass it on, so if any body is in the local area they could complain to their TS and may receive better response.

Today I have received a refund from Debenhams for the £56 that they ILLEGALLY debited from my account. It should have been £16.80.

As stated in my previous post, I emailed customer service asking for an explanation.......... apart from the auto reply, I have not even had the courtesy of a reply, let alone an apology!

That they make a mistake ONCE, fair enough, but that they should make the same mistake TWICE beggars belief! I really would like to take this further, not for the sod*** duvet, but for the principle of the matter! I am still SEETHING:mad:

I received an invoice from them this morning for £56.00. I've just got on the phone from them, first person I spoke to said 'oh, you're talking about the quilt' and 'we can't get any more from the supplier'. He said their system was down and gave me another number to call. The second person said that 'we have rejected the items from the supplier' and that letters were sent out on the 31st July saying accounts have been credited. I ranted on to them about ordering this item in 2 different clearance sales and both times having the orders cancelled for dubious reasons and why advertise these prices and mislead customers. I didn't get anywhere, but it sounded as though they've had quite a few complaints  .
