Hi everyone! We ordered 1 from Currys at the start of May, was told it would be with us by the 17th, and STILL haven't got it! It isn't listed as something they stock anymore, and whenever we ring up, they just say there's a delay on them. So annoyed, because we paid for the three year extended guarantee too.

ANYWAY. We were in our local Sainsburys today, and they had one left! :D We bought it, needless to say. However, we got told there's a year's guarantee through Sainsburys, so that's good - but is that the only warranty we get? Or is there one from B+N on top of the Sainsburys one inside the box? Scared to open it in case I can't return it then lol!

    Er the link doesn't work.

I did find the file nook_1_2_update.zip from I think the UK site - is this the right file?
I take it that the new update on 1st June won't auto fix this US/UK issue?
    Regs., Roy
Sorry just back on after a power cut killed my modem.
The f/w - if you goto the nook uk site, select support then the ST and click on Downloads. - but I think you have it.
As to the new f/w it will update what you have, so US-US UK-UK usually.

You get a ONE year warranty as standard, with whomever you purchased it from.
Unless it was JL who offer 2 years.

I bought my nook from Blackwell's and they also sent me the US firmware version. I contacted nook directly via online chat and they have sent me another one and issued me with a prepaid returns label to return this version. Very good service.

    hi
im not sure of the best place to post- ive scrolled through quite a bit & not found an answer.
ive just bought a nook (very.co.uk) but i also have an older kobo.
ive read that epub can be formatted on calibre ?

but my question is if i want to buy a new book that has just been published can i share it to the kobo so my mum can read it ?

and do i buy the book from nook (that doesnt download on to my pc it wirelessly adds it- brilliant!) or kobo and then how do i share if its on my account or do i buy it from somewhere else alltogether ?

    sorry im a newbie!
    thankyou for any help
