I'm software version 1.2.0. Is there any way of updating? Is there any point?

Official supported web-browser and email client on its way in June...

This is about to become the best £29 ever spent. This is the new firmware version 1.5. I'm now going to cross my fingers that it will support Yahoo mail and Exchange server

The internal memory on my nook is mire like 250mb than 4 gig

Why would you need any more than 6 books on the nook at any one time?

I have got 60 books in my library now and when I checked the settings on my Nook it still shows 89% (210 of 236mb) available storage so it would seem that the internal memory will hold a heck of a lot of books without the need for a separate SD card.

I'll always use an external SD card - if the Nook breaks, you'll still have your books (since i buy mine on the Google Play store then authorise them for my Nook)

    Good thinking.
I hadn't thought of that, but I am a bit of a cheapskate and most of my books were free ones from Kindle which I imported through Caliber, so they are all saved on my laptop - twice!

Hi there, my nooks just arrived and I've plugged it in to my laptop for it to charge. I'm just on setup and it wants me to attach to wifi, but I can't remember my wifi password. Is there a way of continuing with setup and just putting books on it with the cable? Thanks in advance. xxx

Any one still looking to buy one, and lives near a Sainsbury's could try ringing the individual stores.

Some have them in stock while the online orders show out of stock......

    good luck

A quick post on the Techie Stuff forum will help you find the lost password.

I am not certain if you can proceed with out the registration , but putting books on via usb is a doodle

If you use Calibre you can add the books to the internal memory. But you can't add any purchased books from B&N unless you can download them somehow.
