For those interested in the Glow-light version, I got mine delivered within a few days from very.co.uk (item number 34TQU17) for £42.95 after using a new customer discount code:
£69.00 + £3.95 (p&p) - £30.00 (voucher code for first credit order over £60). To qualify you need to be a new customer with, I'm assuming, a decent credit rating.
Free delivery applies if you choose Collect+ (collect from one of 4,500 local shops). So it could cost as little as £39.00.
The code is valid until 31 May 2013 and can be found easily by doing an online search. I would post it on here, but don't think its allowed. Anyone interested who can't find it online, or just want to confirm the code, PM me.
Note: I also went through via TopCashBack and have a pending payment of £4.07. New customer purchases at very via TCB is stated at 7.07% on purchase price exluding VAT ((£69 / 1.2) x 7.07% = £4.07). So, if cashback tracks, the Nook glow-light could cost as little as £38.88 (if posted) or £34.93 (if collected).
Edit: 10% cashback available for new customer sales via Quidco (exclusive rate until 17/05/13).0 -
For me the glow light was the best option, I'm sick of cases and lights being stuck to my kindle. The glow light is such a wonderfully tactile thing it's marvelous to be able to hold it without the intrusion of a case.
I bought myself a cheap neoprene sleeve just to keep it in my bag and I'm thrilled with it.
The reading light on it is brilliant, it can be dimmed to such an extent that I can still read easily without oh being disturbed.
If anyone is considering paying the little bit extra using the above methods I'd say go for it, is very very worth it.0 -
I got the Glow-light version from Very. Would not let me choose Collect+ though, but still a great price. i really like it, it has a great touchscreen and the glow light is really easy to switch on and off and can be adjusted. I too cannot stand clip on lights for an ereader, and I usually use a kindle fire for reading, but it's no good for direct light so i got the Nook for holidays, as I take a few a year and love to read. So far so good, it certainly beats the Kobo I had briefly last year (that died on me

I should hopefully have my Nook delivered on Wednesday.
After ordering from Asda, i then decided to order from Argos too as they had them in stock for home delivery.
I was worried that it didn't go through though as i had no confirmation e-mail, but just contacted argos who said it should be delivered on Wednesday.0 -
Still no sign of my Nook from Very and all the shops are still out of stock. Anyone been able to get one in the last day or two (that wasn't order a week ago and now just picking up)?0
