Just received email from John Lewis saying that my Nook is ready for collection at local Waitrose:T:T:T

So pleased, really thought I had missed the boat on this one and even better to get it from JL.

Now all I have to worry about is if I can understand how to work it:o:o

Ordered nook at about 1pm yesterday, did not get confirmation order email (got online order receipt) or despatch email .On online order it says processing order & when you click on it is says "Due for delivery on 12 May 2013" (I selected delivery to Waitrose store). Is there anyone else still at this stage? or how long did it take from the order to collection emails/txts. Have emailed John Lewis on order status but not got reply yet.

When I first placed my order on Friday evening I was advised it would be ready for collection at Waitrose from 2.00pm today.

I received the email saying it was now available for collection at 12.14pm today - so only about an hour or so before the time originally advised.

I am sure you will get it, customer service at JL is so good that if there was a problem you would undoubtedly have heard by now.

    Good luck!

I'm not sure why you would want to root something with a 6 inch black and white screen - the display of web pages must be horrible.

it doesn't annoy me if it's in Black and white at all. As long as I can use it when on holiday to keep up with family things at home that's all I care about. And seeing as I can't afford the usual tablets etc at their silly prices, this will do me just fine :)

Rooting isn't just about running a web browser, replacement home screens/lauchers etc are also available.

I would call if I was you, I just called the helpline and they said they were out of stock which is why it was still 'processing'. No call or email to notify of the delay and they were unable to say when they would be next in stock. Happy days!

I've just the same conversation with JL :( at least I didnt go there and wait for nothing. Wish I'd reserved one through Argos for Home Delivery now.

If anyone is interested apparently JL have stock in store in Oxford St or Edinburgh

Yeah luckily I decided to call my pick up store as a precaution and they transferred me to the helpline. Would have not been a happy bunny walking to the local store (50 minutes away) just to be told they had not received it lol. Argos is a complete no go for my area, not in stock anywhere!

Mine supposed to be delivered to my work address tomorrow. I'm getting worried as I've now realised that argos deliver from 7am and my work reception isn't manned til 8.15am. I think the delivery men might not get an answer so will chuck it in the back of the van and I'll never see it again
