Don't rely on all kindle 4 cases fitting nooks, none of my M Edge ones will hold my nook and they have thicker elastic strips.

I think it's probably a bit hit and miss with them.
  • I have to confess - I was not very "MSE" and splashed out for the Nook Oliver cover and really glad I did. It (obviously) fits the Nook perfectly and feels really secure. Love my Nook - used to have the kindle app on the ipad and it drank the battery. Nook will be perfect on our holiday in September :j

Just ordered a bargain £29 nook from Argos, on main website it says unavailable for home delivery but if you order one it lets you get it delivered for free - result! Ordered it today and it's due to arrive on Tuesday. No more fighting with hubby over my kindle on holiday :T
  • Well my £4.60 case arrived from the USA (via play.com). It's a nice fit, came with a screen protector and led light too...can't complain much

I'm getting more and more tempted to root the nook... Any downsides to doing it?

I bought this one from Play.com
    http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/39346382/734264993/eForCity-Blue-Leather-Case-LED-w-clip-Reading-Light-For-Nook-2-Simple-Touch-Glowlight/ListingDetails.html?searchstring=case+for+nook+simple+touch&searchtype=allproducts&searchsource=0&searchfilters=s%7bcase+for+nook+simple+touch%7d%2b&ob=4&urlrefer=search

It arrived from the States within a week and is nice quality, not real leather but what do you expect for just over £4 with free delivery! The Nook slips right inside it, not just held in by elastic. It's like a large wallet and has a magnetic catch. It also comes in red which is £4.88. I got mine in black with a screen protector film as well but they don't seem to have that one anymore.
The light is quite natty too, it folds down when not in use, when you want to use it you just push a button on the side opens and light automatically.

We're pleased to advise that the recent order you placed with us is now available for collection from your chosen John Lewis or Waitrose shop.

Your order will be held for 7 calendar days, after which we will return it to our warehouse and process a refund in accordance with our published refund policy

    Great service from John Lewis!

This has been a PR disaster. B & N reduced the cost to increase presence in the UK and underestimated demand. Ultimately, all being well we all take delivery of our orders but the organisation has been lousy!
I genuinely doubt they anticipated the real level of demand is all. I think if they had, Amazon would have jumped in first with the Kindle. Amazon have been caught seriously napping IMO.

I also note WH Smith have reduced the similar Kobo to £29.
The atmosphere is currently filled with hypocrisy so thick that it could be sliced, wrapped, and sold in supermarkets for a decent price and labeled, 'Wholegrain Left-Wing, Middle-Class, Politically-Correct Organic Hypocrisy'.

Ordered nook at about 1pm yesterday, did not get confirmation order email (got online order receipt) or despatch email .On online order it says processing order & when you click on it is says "Due for delivery on 12 May 2013" (I selected delivery to Waitrose store). Is there anyone else still at this stage? or how long did it take from the order to collection emails/txts. Have emailed John Lewis on order status but not got reply yet.

I seem to be at this stage too and would be interested to know...

I'd love to give my opinion, but I gave up as I can't get it done :( I need SIMPLE step by step instructions as I'm not the best at these kind if things, so I'm sticking to the reading unless someone comes and does it for me:o
