neither of mine have been dispatched by Very yet =/ bit of a disappointment considering it was supposed to be next day delivery :mad:0

My Very order is due for delivery by 15th. Free chocolate came today though lol.
I think all the cases look ugly but then I don't like bulky phone/iPad cases either. I thought I'd recycle some old thick silk and sew a pouch for the Nook using my John Lewis Mini sewing machine (another bargain buy).0 -
Like a lot of you I'm not sure if I want to convert to an ereader (might only be 28 but I love my traditional books!) so this is the ideal chance for me to try it and see if I can get on with it.
I know that there is the 'glolight' which is only £69 at the moment but tbh thats still out of my price range - have any of you tried reading with the simple touch without the glolight at bedtime or is it just to dark to try or painful on the eyes? Thought it worth the ask before I turned it down completely!Debt Free by 2015: £5839.01/£13000 1% challenge = 44.91%CAMRA Member: Drinking Ale doesn't make me any less of a woman :beer:0 -

That's why some of us are buying clip on lights.(Can be anything from a pound to a tenner.)
Cheaper than buying a light than a glow nook.
Btw, I was never an ereader fan until I was given a Kindle as a present. Real books were 'it' for me. I read my Kindle every day now, I read all sorts of things I wouldn't normally have bought. I wouldn't be without my ereaders now.
You'll be hooked soon enough.:D

A lot of my friends have said the same, I think its just taking the plungewould certainly save me a lot of money and space!
I have a clip on light for my books and as the only reason I am considering getting one is for reading at night, I don't want to buy the simple touch if i can't use it, although I am quite tempted by the £30 off at Very.....Debt Free by 2015: £5839.01/£13000 1% challenge = 44.91%CAMRA Member: Drinking Ale doesn't make me any less of a woman :beer:0 -
I've never used an e-reader before and would like to ask where people are getting their 'free' books from - apart from the Barnes website? (Yes I have tried 'google' but as usual get pages of results)
My main reason for trying one was being able to get library books but I am abit disappointed by the limited selection on offer at my local one. Also, how does the library system work - do you just 'borrow' the ebook still and have to somehow return it? (sorry if this is a dumb question - my local library website does not offer an explanation at all).
I will probably try calibre and the plug-in once I have found some books I want to read.

Lots of free books via Amazon. Also Project Gutenberg
PS-am also an e-reader addict. If you love books, what's not to like about having hundreds of them in your handbag?import this0 -
I ordered one directly from their own website last wednesday, got all the confirmation emails and one saying it was ready for despatch, and then the inevitable 'screw you we haven't actually got any' cancellation 'but please buy this much more expensive one':mad::mad:
I've ordered another using the Isme link and it's gone through but i'm fully expecting this to be cancelled too, let us see.Out on blue six..
It's Chips and Jackets, Peas and Trousers.0
