    FYI - Nook's UK customer service number is 0800 279 6665 (via http://shop.pottermore.com/en_GB/Help/contact_barnesnoble)

My 2nd Nook just arrived by UPS delivery (from B&N direct). Now i need to figure out what to do with it..! Maybe one for reading, one I can root as an Android tablet

If you search the web, you'll find the number pop up in other places. I originally got it from the receipt inside the delivery envelope.

By the way, if anyone can't find the full stop on the keyboard (if you need to use @hotmail.co.uk for example), you use the question mark...it works as a full stop.

I've used Calibre to convert a few PDFs and other things, and using a PC just dragged and dropped them into the Nook. Dead simple IMO.

If anyone decides on a good case/cover for it, could they let us know please - I'm already getting precious over my new Nook! :D:o
The atmosphere is currently filled with hypocrisy so thick that it could be sliced, wrapped, and sold in supermarkets for a decent price and labeled, 'Wholegrain Left-Wing, Middle-Class, Politically-Correct Organic Hypocrisy'.

I'm not too keen on the soft feel of it tbh, I've already marked the front of one of ours.

I also don't like the slight 'lag' compared to my Kindle.

However for £29 I will suck it up, it's still a very good deal and anything that facilitates reading is good in my book. (See what I did there? :p:D)

Daughter is an avid reader and will be taking hers abroad, I'd much rather that than a more expensive Kindle.

    Thanks for the headsup.
I used Sainsbury's click and collect for nectar points etc
I wish I had considered Curry's nook+ case offer though, as apart from Ebay, cases seem quite pricey- will check £land later...
Has anyone checked built in memory capacity?

Thanks for that info. I messed about using the .com button and delete.

What makes you think these were made for the American market and needed a new home?
Looking at Nook's American site, the machines they are promotion on there come with 2Gb of memory.

The only markets they bother with appear to be the UK and US - very odd that their warehouse seems to be in the Netherlands

I've just spent ages trying to set up the one I'm giving to daughter. I've downloaded a particular series of books she was after and I wanted them listed in order sitting neatly on a bookshelf (or 2).

After trying several ways I eventually got them in order by inserting a number in the title, so....the series title came first then 1 then the actual title of the book, next one was the same (except 2 obviously) and so on. It was the only way I could get them sitting in order.

I'm trying to ignore the fact she'll mess up my system as soon as she starts using it. :rotfl:

Btw, I too can't decide on a case. Or a clip on light. I can't be faffed ordering from America, I want it now. :D
