Well, Nook number 1 arrived this morning. Hopefully number 2 will come tomorrow!

So have set it all up for my Dad and now the previous comments are getting me thinking about a light!!

The whole point in me getting them these was so they can read outside when they're on holiday...I never thought about what they'll do when my Dad wants to stay up for hours at night! I bought them both Kindles so that hasn't been an issue...but don't think they'll want to take them both on holiday!

Any good deals for a clip on light?

Clip on lights can be found in Asda/Tesco/£land etc. Varying prices as always

Has anyone managed to get anywhere by calling that 0800 number? When I rang it, I just got a recorded message telling me to use the online live chat. Is that number ever manned by a person?

I called a sainsbury's store, their cases ranged from £16.99-£24.99.

    You were lucky. :)

I used my Sony for many years (3+) without a light on it, mostly if you can see to read then you can use an eink device. I tried a light but didn't like the reflections. These backlit ones are new/bling and I am still not sure about the need for one.

    I've been Money Tipped!

Must admit I prefer it to the Kindle.

Can I ask why? I don't have a Kindle and am loving the Nook - wondered what is making you like the Nook more? Purely so I can gloat over functionality as well as price when friends keep on about how it's not a Kindle :D

One good thing the Nook does that the Kindle doesn't, is display the books as actual pictures of the book & cover. The Kindle only lists them.
