  • Thanks, i didnt want to send a whole years worth of bank statements either, i know they probably only look for child care payments but i still feel like its private.

Ill post back when i get my letter and how long it takes to review it.
I guess the renewal is finalised once the review is done so it could still take weeks.

I asked the question would my renewal be completed once chidcare had been checked and she said yes but i think you could could say you will looking at least another 3 weeks on top , its already just been over 4 for me now, last year ot took them 12 weeks to complete my renewal not sure what the hold up as when ...
  • Well I got my award letters in the post today. One for 2013/2014, and the other for 2012/13, which is still provisional, hence the reason they haven't paid my underpayment money yet. I called them to check when they will be finalised, they have until 14th June to make a decision on the claim.

    I'm sat here stunned!

My income from 2011-2012 was 2300 higher than my income in 2012 - 2013. I was expecting at the end of the year my award would be made to the right amount of what I should have received based on the income for 2012-2013.

Nope, apparently the disregard isn't just for the initial change in circumstances and made up at the end of the year, any difference is lost. The net result as I had to take a lower paid job, and I'm now working more hours, but I've lost £1,500 in tax credits! My tax credits are now only going to the right level for the commencement of this year!

For the first time ever I feel like writing to my MP as I'm so disgusted!!

Ok rung the complance office todaythey have recvd my info but advised it can take up to a month for them to look at it and its already been 4.5 weeks
  • oh gosh really.

Mines 4 weeks now as well. Im not allowed to send my evidence back to compliance team until my letter comes, she said the letters go out in two week batches.

I guess our payments continue as normal till the review is done and finalised.

Ive got all my childcare invoices and payments copied and the figures are slightly out so i guess i will owe a small amount back.

I have estimated my costs for the next 12 months as well but theyve not asked for proof of this yet so i guess ill get reviewed again next year as well!

Yes its a very long time , she did say that it Might not take that long but who knows these days
  • Is there many people still waiting for the renewal pack?

We've still not received ours and I'm getting a bit concerned.

We have childcare included in our claim and if ours is gonna be checked will this all be done before 31st July or does it not make a difference when its completed as long as you start the renewal before the end of July?

Also, I vaguely remember last years childcare checks were people who claimed more than £50 a week, is that still the case or is it all with childcare? I only ask because it's taken me over 2 weeks to get an invoice for after school club and I'll need to get a couple of copies of receipts as I'm missing a few and I dread to think how long it'll take to get those.
