How about if you break it up so work out what you have for each of your pay months and then split it by weeks. Maybe do new budgets from this 18th splitting by how many weeks til next payday then allocating how much that comes in this month and allocating the rest to June adding in the split for June July? Does that make sense?Happiness is wanting what you have...0

L2B I'm gonna try figure something out for you. Leave it with me. Off to model for a vintage Photoshoot! Will check in later with you all but lunch is provided so another SFD for me!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0

L2B - we get paid on the third working Friday of the month which is why I work on a weekly budget after considering all the outgoings/DDs. You can always amend the weekly budget to suit the challenge targets then at the start of each month.
A spend day again - bought some new trainers (£8.99 in sale) as the ones Ihave now aren't comfy for running in, it's like I'm running in socks. Just opened my bottom desk drawer to find a carrier and found some decent trainers in there, whoops!0 -
Hi everyone,
Sorry ive not been on for a while, have been horribly ill for 2 weeks now, am feeling a bit better today though. On the plus side, i have had lots of SFDs as i haven't been to shops, and ive also lost weight:) Today i also paid off the last £60 owed to my fridge/freezer - happy days.
Lots of hugs to Mrs Toast, and Abundant - stay please, i like reading your posts.Total debt - £16,687.86 approx. - Paid so far - £13,156.30 - £350. a month to DMP - DFD 17/01/2019 But I WILL make it sooner!!0 -
Hi everyone,
CrazyCatLady - glad you're feeling a bit better and hope you're fully
recovered soon.
The body shop willpower was a combination of not wanting to spend just because it was a bargain; looking carefully at what was in the offer and questioning which of my friends would get them as birthday gifts and also wanting to keep the clutter out. My last Book People order was funny - I was trying to find something to make it up to £25 to get free delivery and DS3 (who's 6!) said, 'don't bother mum'... And it hit home that I really didn't need to be stockpiling birthday cards when I can buy them for 25p in Mr T's. But for a 6 year old to be pointing it out was amusing :rotfl:
A SFD for me today and dinner is red lentil, sweet potato and cauliflower curry. Just chucked it all in and am hoping for the best. Was planning on a couple of hours at the allotment tonight but rain has come on.
Working from home tomorrow so will save fuel and time.
See you tomorrow,

I have been absent too. Just been feeling really down about money, I havent done very well this month but I am not sure how I could have improved things. I stocked up on dog food which is cheaper to buy in bulk and had to buy more of the dogs antihistamines. DS2 needed some things for cricket - I managed to pick some things up off ebay but had to buy him a new jumper and shirt.
It doesnt help that my hours have been cut at work. Sigh. My Mum bless her has offered to pay for me to have my hair coloured so at least I will look a bit more presentable once I have been to the hairdressers tomorrow!
And I suppose looking on the bright side at least I know exactly where I am financially, if that makes sense. And I shouldnt go into the red if I am really careful. Might go and photo some things to put on ebay.
Sorry to hear your news Mrs Toast, it does make me feel a bit bad for moaning about money!0 -
Sorry things didn't go to plan yorkshirelass. I'm sure you'll feel better and more upbeat after the hairdresser. Usually does the trick. There is always tomorrow. We had a few unexpected spends too but like yours they weren't indulgences but necessities so although not nice it wasn't wasn't wasted money.
Won't have an NSD tomorrow as we'll have a rare nightout include free babysitter. will behave though and keep costs low. Also need to buy food for fianc!e's birthday picnic. He complimented me today and my cooking lately, how it was more creative. Which I explained was due to shopping less and thinking of interesting things to do with what we have rather than buying loads and cooking the usual. Double result

Evening everyone
The last two days have been SFD for me, see I can do it when I try:)
I too get despondent about the money situation, I don't earn much and it seems the amounts I pay off debts is so piddly, but at least its something I suppose, it just takes so long to achieve some headway, but it could be a lot worse and I do have a roof over my head and food in the cupboards (no clothes though:() anyway less of all that
Been at work today then went to see a friend that I was supposed to go on holiday with, they go on Sat, but I declined as DGD was due. Anyway off to bonny Scotland they are going and Im so jealous, I went last year to the North West of Scotland and fell in love with it, but I will be going back up there when I can afford it
Anyway off to bed, up early for 6-2 shift tomorrow

Evening all, mid month blues are here - dodgy looking hugs to those who need them :grouphug:
Manic day here - DH home sick - hes very grotty. Up and out this morning flying solo, work, washing, washing dance when it started piddling down, assembly, rainbows, more work cooking and a trip to Mr S.
Dd managed to whack her face on a chair post assembly and trap her fingers in a door at the end of rainbows - thankfully the tooth of doom has settled down though - poor love is in the wars!!
I now have 8 days to wrap up work before Mum and Dad come for 16 days!! They fly down next Friday night - tonnes to do before then but it will be great to see them.
Right DH off to bed so I will do a little work before I go up. Some days you just have to keep going like a duracel bunny plugged in the mains
Love to all, Lagl xxDebt free on the 28/05/130 -
Oh dear... so many chickadees feeling down! Big hugs to you all! I am ready to hit the hay, hair in rollers ( I am so hot - NOT! ) and !!!!! cat on my knee.. lovely SFD in the bag.
Life seems hard, that's why you come here to let off a little steam. This money saving is hard and I have the utmost respect for people who have children, grandchildren, OH's and others in their life that they are responsible for and have to fed, clothe and look after.
For the sick chickadees more hugs are coming to you and if I could make you some soup I would...
Keep chugging along, it will get better. This tough section is a pre-cursor to appreciating the best that is yet to come! We will all get there together - by hook or by crook we will make it!
Onwards and Upwards....“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
