I've had it happen to me - a spotty "yoof" with his girlfriend and some pals thought he was being tough. I asked nicely first time (for him to stop). Second time I asked him how easy he would find it to leave the cinema with broken legs ... he stopped.

I guess I also have "violence issues".

Well no because you didn't use violence.....
Are you sure you know what violence is?This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
So the threat of violence rather than the actual fact (which I would have been prepared to carry out) means I DON'T have "violence issues"? Cool!

If you were the type of person that would actually break a persons legs because he was kicking your chair then you're obviously mental.
However you didn't in fact use violence. You used a threat of violence which is a completely different thing! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
No point in threatening anything, unless you are willing and able to carry out the threat.0

Edited to add both me and him were at the aisle end of our row, I was in the last row forward before the walkway bit.
Edited again to add -someone repeatedly deliberately kicking your chair is not trivial, it is unacceptable and causes discomfort. I can only assume you have never experienced it.
I have to ask......was it a scottish cinema/were you born and/or raised in scotland? And the reason I'm asking is because in my experience, Scots tend to have a "no nonsense" attitude when it comes to certain things, people acting like fannies being one of them. You keep using that word.
