, Scots tend to have a "no nonsense" attitude when it comes to certain things, people acting like fannies being one of them.

Hehe! That reminds me of those Iron-Bru ads! :rotfl:

And you would achieve this on an aircraft how? As that is the environment under discussion.
Taking action like that can prompt an immediate diversion, involvement of the local police & a banning from that airline. Not a good start or end to a holiday

If you had read the thread - you would have seen that I did say I understand you could not do this on a plane, then again the staff on the plane have nowhere to hide so I would not have been forced to take action in thier absence.

So thank you for your comments, they have been forwarded to file 13.

In fairness I didn't say I would accept it. I would just deal with it without resorting to physical violence.

OK - I would love to hear how? He had allready been made aware he was causing me some discomfort and I was not going to accept it but continued to do it?

I have to ask......was it a scottish cinema/were you born and/or raised in scotland? And the reason I'm asking is because in my experience, Scots tend to have a "no nonsense" attitude when it comes to certain things, people acting like fannies being one of them.

Yes to all, it was the one in Parkhead.

I was not there but I would suggest one of the following first

    1) speak to the manager.
    2) like bod did use the threat of violence to make him stop.

The man turned out to be a coward so it sounds like if you had just threatened him he would have stopped doing it.

It appears the sequence of the events was..

You - stop kicking my chair
    Him - kicked your chair
You - you physically man handle the man out of the cinema

It does not appear you exhausted all other options before resorting to violence.

I believe violence should always be used as a last resort. You obviously don't.

Time was marching on, I was there to see a film not deal with bell ends or engage in conversations with staff members who would have had my word against his.
I am also not going to threaten someone then turn my back on them. Or threaten someone then have to do it, that makes a chain of events which makes any court case a foregone conclussion.

He should have behaved himself. I am sure we could all have sat down in a circle with the talking stick then had a group hug and sung kumbyah and Michael row the boat ashore. My way was quicker and I got to see the film I had paid to see.

I do like the fact that you seem to believe not wanting to resort to physical violence so quickly makes me a hippy ;)

You are a massive contradiction. On one side you appear to be short tempered and a bit of a thug but then looking at your signature it appears you also like science fiction novels.

    Its an unusual mix!

Mr. Worf isn't exactly a paragon of peace and love, is he? ;)

Maybe I am more Heinlein than Pratchet.

I would hardly say I am short tempered either, in fact if I had got all aerated and aggressive and raised my voice the first time I spoke to him - he may have taken me more seriously, who knows.

Any human who does not have a contradiction or two about them should be checked for an ASD maybe.
