    It's an idiotic comparison. You don't need to play music at 1,000 watts. However if you're travelling somewhere you need to get your children there.

    Even someone like you must see the difference.....

    You get babies in business and first class - that's not an escape plan.
    Saying that, I've never seen any children in first class when I've been there. I have in business frequently, in fact I did a TATL recently four exceptionally well behaved children.

    Conversely I've seen exceptionally badly behaved adults on planes.

    Planes are public transport. If you don't like the public then don't use them.

    Just like everyone has an equal right to a 1000 watt sound system. Most reasonable people would not use one in a flat though.

    No that's not true. You play a 1000 watt sound system and see how long it is before a noise abatement officer pops round and repossess that system.

    There are laws against playing a sound system unreasonably loud.

    It does not show a lack of respect for other people's peaceful enjoyment taking your kid on a plane.
