Vent - babies on longnhaul flights
Comments

Personally other than for reasons such as travelling to see an ill relative I can't understand why anyone would take a young baby on such a long flight.
You can have a perfectly good holiday in this country.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

I took DD to spend time with my mother, who was working abroad at the time. Coming home each night to see DD made her millennium, never mind her day. DH was also working away at the time, and it did me the world of good to have somebody that could help with Dd and give me a rest.
Why on earth should I have denied any of us that?Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -

I did say personally and in your case although not ill it was to support a family member. How long was your mother abroad for as obviously that makes a difference.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

And I'll say again, DD was an angel on the flight and indeed on the whole trip.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -

I still remember being asked if the airline staff could borrow my than baby as she slept the whole flight and woke up all happy and cute just before landing!
I remember a toddler flight with her when she was restless and wanted to stretch her legs so I took her down to the toilets. On the way back she was confused as to what seat we were in and as I was saying no not that one and shuffling her along, the lady whose seat it was came rushing up behind me to complain at me for letting her touch her seat. I apologised. People around me shook their heads in deisbelief as DD1 had been quite all nine hours. The lady then went to sit in her seat and sent her red wine flying. LOL
Yes kids can be pains but so too can be people with colds, snorers, people with honey elbows, wanting to get past you to go the loo when you've just got the food tray. The list goes on.Don’t put it down - put it away!

Ha ha are you people for real. I am taking my 3 small children on a flight to Ibiza in a few weeks and I imagine it will be chaos but we will do our best to minimize this for the sake of of our children, our fellow passengers and ourselves, but the baby may be slightly disruptive and annoy people. I am sure it is annoying but it is a few hours out of your silly little lives.
Who do these people think they are that they can dictate my family holidays because they want peace and quiet. You get what you pay for and so unless you can afford to charter a private jet you have to accept that you are one person on a plane that may hold hundreds and any one of them may act in a way that you do not like, tough luck. If you can't accept that you really shouldn't fly.
I agree people should try to be considerate of each other on flights as in daily life but that does not mean banning small children from flights so that some sour faced, small minded people can travel in peace.
My children may well behave beautifully and one of your husbands, wives etc might annoy the hell out of us by leaning back and squashing my knees, pushing past to go the toilet every five minutes or crying loudly because they have such a miserable idiotic other half.
We shall see, either way I might not enjoy the flight but its a necessary evil because our family holiday will be worth all the trouble0 -

If we are to go on odds its more likely your kids will cause the trouble than a partner.
These peoples 'silly little lives' pay for their holiday as well and often the flight is part of the holiday so why should they suffer the consequence of children bawling and their parents not being able to stop it?
Hence why some flights should be adult only and some should be family friendly.Don't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0 -

If its such a good idea I wonder why none of the airlines have thought of doing it...............Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -
