Yes but I can understand there is a difference between ill-behaved children knowing they would not be able to cope, and a child (or adult) being ill or having a head/ear ache.To say children should be banned off flights etc is totally ludicrous, and yes, I do agree that it's extremely annoying, but no more annoying than a drunken idiot or a person that likes the sound of their own voice or someone kicking the back of your seat for example.
Yep and I think those people should also have the same 'rules' applied to them.
And I don't think children should be banned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhhhhh going insaaaaane. I just think parents (or grandparents in the case of meer) should make the decent decision of, if their kids will be unable to cope, don't take them.0 -
Personally in my dealings with people who suffer from mental disabilities I find an innocence that is often greatly endearing. I do not assume they are violent and should be kept away from the general public....
when i was a kid i went on a coach trip for the day. there were about half a dozen mentally ill people on the trip with their carers. one of them p1ssed himself, i remember the p1ss flowed down the centre aisle, it was pretty disgusting.
do i think people should be able to get on a bus/ airplane without a passenger p1ssing himeself? yes i do.
do i think the mentally ill should be locked away? no i don't
but sometimes i do think the needs of the few are held to be more important than the needs of the many.0 -

However, I'm unable to rest the impact of taking off and landing on her ears, so there is a risk that she might be distressed then. I can have things with me to try and mitigate the risk, but I can't prevent it completely.
Yes and I for one do get a lot of head and ear aches on flights (funnily enough, I am a terrible flyer!). But you have said your children (or child) have been fine on a flight. Yes, they may hurt and cry for a while, but not become a massive nuisance.
I am talking about crying and moaning for an hour being annoying, not 20 minutes.0 -

Well, that's what we're trying to say, how would you know if they would be ok, would be able to cope?0 -

If you don't have a decent idea that they would be able to cope, you don't take them.0 -

So if you had seen a non mentally ill person wet themselves (yes, it happens), would you suggest they all be banned from flights too?0 -

Well, as a 4 month old I breastfed her on takeoff and landing, to try and prevent any pain. We stopped that a while back now, so I won't have that magic trick up my sleeve.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0
