Vent - babies on longnhaul flights
Comments

You appear to be changing your tune.....
A few posts back you were advocating that a mother should stay in America with her baby to avoid getting on an 8 hour flight.....
For someone who doesn't believe in banning people from flights you've certainly got strong views on who should be allowed to fly
Yes please tell me where I have said ban all disabled and children on flights0 -
So again, making stuff up because you think I am in the wrong.
I will try and make this as simple as possible for everyone to comprehend.
- I do not believe in banning anyone from flights, everyone has the right to fly.
- I do believe everyone should be entitled to a safe and pleasant journey.
- I think parents should take responsibility for the children. Children do not have to fly (although notanewuser doesn't seem to think that this is the case)
- There are plenty examples of parents on this thread (including experiences I have had) where their children have been extremely well behaved. As I said quite a few times now, I do not have a problem with this.
As above, this I fully accept and think is great that bylromarha has done such a great job in bringing up well behaved children.
The age where parents have got decent knowledge that their children are able to behave and control. There is no "number" age for this.
I haven't made anything up. You called a poster 'arrogant' because she chooses to fly with her small child.Mortgage when started: £330,995

Where you said a mother should not get on a flight home to the UK if they have a young baby.......
The disabled was just an obvious extension of your very selfish viewsThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I'm sorry, so you didn't quote a post I said and amend it?0 -

"I am all for choosing what holidays you go on, but that choice will not be based on the chance that my child may annoy other people for a few hours.
If there was a magic remedy that stops crying all flight I would have used it but there isn't apart from not going on a flight and that's not going to happen for me anyway."
How arrogant. Do you not have any concern for other passengers?
I think I might play my speakers on my next flight. Who cares about the other passengers and how they feel eh![/QUOTE]
Here you go, post 47. HiToAll says that there's a chance her child may annoy other people when she takeshim on a flight (i.e. she doesn't know how her child will react on a plane until she takes him/her it... as is the case for all young children). You say she's being arrogant.
...it's not a huge leap from this post to assume that your view is that any parent who takes young children on a flight is being arrogant.Mortgage when started: £330,995

No. I called notanewuser arrogant because they had said that they don't care for fellow passengers if their child is making noise. Not because they wanted to take their child on a flight.
No, they did not say that:notanewuser wrote: »I'm allergic to France.
Last time I checked, you couldn't drive directly to Cuba, so I'm afraid 3 year old DD (as she will be then) is going to have to come on the plane with us.notanewuser wrote: »We enjoy UK holidays most of the time too.
Trouble is, for us at least, if we wait till DD is 5 or 8 or 10 Castro will be dead and there will be no point going to Cuba because it will be wall to wall Starbucks and McDonalds.
DD is generally very well behaved, so I can't worry too much about the flight. I believe travel is one of the greatest gifts you can give a child.0 -

Please show me where I said that?!
I actually said that DD was perfectly calm on her first longhair flight at 4 months, and that I've no reason to believe she wouldn't be now!
You've really got a screw loose.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -

lol! I changed it in red and italics, and clearly stated in my post that I'd 'fixed' it! :rotfl:Mortgage when started: £330,995
