    I've been Money Tipped!
I would agree, but at age 3 our son isn't likely to appreciate it ;) Once he's old enough to appreciate travel and seeing new & different sights, he'll probably be old enough to cope with the flight too.

I have to point out, that this is one area where Marley & I don't agree :rotfl:

Our now 8 year old DS had a fantastic time travelling New Zealand aged 15months.

Our then 2 year old can remember so many details of the Maldives holiday we took. She even remembers her 3rd birthday in the plane as she had cake :D DS was complemented by the travellers sitting next him on the way home. They couldn't believe how well behaved he was.

Don't underestimate them. Travel has done wonders for our kids. The memories stay with them from a young age and they live up to your expectations of them when travelling.

Can you tell I back Marley all the way on this one? ;)

I'm still waiting to see where I said children should be banned from flights until they are 10.

Can't seem to find myself saying that anywhere.

Meer, notanewuser, goater - perhaps you could show me?

    LOL how so?

I have had to repeat myself so many times to you, and to meer and to notanewuser about what I have said because you seem to think I have said something that I haven't!

Calling people names because they don't agree with you? Now that is childish behaviour. And then to suggest that a mother and child stay overseas for years, just so you are not inconvenienced for a few hours.

You have still not explained why you should not be the one that does not fly. Why do you think you have more right to travel than others?

Crying/whinging children on flights are annoying. When the parent(s) are doing their best to pacify and occupy the children I feel only sympathy for them - they are even more harassed than the other passengers.
I do grind my teeth when the parent(s) ignore their offspring's behaviour and expect everyone else to just put up with it.......

I did not call you (or anyone else) an idiot because they disagreed with me. I called people a name because the responses I was getting was not in debate, they were in sarcasm, rudeness and accusations of lying. Would you not expect that response?

I have not said I deserve more right to travel. Please please for goodness sake read my posts. I have not at all said I should have rights over a baby or a child on a flight. What I should be allowed is the peace of flying, just as any other passenger.

If your baby was sleeping, would it be right for me to scream and shout at the top of my voice. Would that not be extremely rude?

Yes. Because you are an adult and in control of your behaviour.

I'd love to find myself booked on the same flight as you one day. I'd even borrow a baby with colic to bring with me. Every time it stopped crying i'd prod it, just to wind you up.

The thing that cheers me up is that nothing is going to change, babies will still be allowed to fly and you will still have to accept that, so if you don't want to hear them, it's you who will have to make a decision, not the parents with the cranky kids.

    That's frankly pathetic.

What's your view on the mentally disabled?

Should they also be banned from going abroad in case they are on the same flight as you?
