Bullying

Wheezy, you appear to be failing to grasp the function of HR. They exist to protect the employers back, not take on your fights for you.
Based on information on previous posts, I would not be surprised if your grievence fails.
You need to pick your battles, for the sake of your sanity and health try and let go of past issues and keep your head down, at least until the dust settles.
She has, she moved to a different department. It is the manager of the old department that hasn't let go hence her saying that she loves the new department and everything is fine, except for the old manager. The old manager is the one with the problem. if it's like that it does not matter if she puts her head down, it won't stop.0 -
ohreally makes a good point - this is not a battle you are going to win, and the more you try, the more it is making you ill. Focus on how you can have a better future, which more than likely will mean finding a new job, and use your counselling to put this bad experience in the past.
That is the attitude that bullies hope for. Why should she leave her job because of someones actions..? The person who is causing the trouble should go.
The trouble with alot (most, if not all) workplaces is that people become too friendly. The friendship reaches a point where people don't do their job properly and they become biased. Because manager A goes out with HR lady, or Personel guy, or manager B, when it comes to a complaint against them they close ranks so as not to spoil friendships etc. They can't remain objective and unbiased.
I suspect if people acted in a proper professional manner then this bullying would have been dealt with a long time ago.0 -
Wheezy this is sound advice. Let go of the past. Swallow your pride and shake off her actions - just enjoy your nice new department. Unless there is a lot more than you have posted, you are on a hiding to nothing with this grievance and you risk being 'black marked' now....
As has been said she did just that. It is the manager in her old department who keeps it going. It's the manager who can't let go.0 -
Fight the good fight, take no !!!! AT ALL - i had this crap when i was 16, and i fought back even got one guy fired never felt soooo proud,
now anyone tries to start on me i make sure im a person you don't !!!! around with.
Remember... first impressions on other employers can see if a person is weak or strong.
- intelligence is power violence isn't the key here.
I agree totally. If you feel you are being bullied you should do everything you can to stop it.0 -
I have read your posts, and all I see is someone wearing themselves into the ground. The way to deal with this is not to show them how much it is affecting you, keep a smile on your face and pretend you are oblivious to it. That way she'll get bored eventually, no point in picking on someone that doesn't rise to it.
When your complaint gets dismissed (as you believe it will be), what will you do next? Think about this, as you need to have a forward plan.
The more you keep pursuing this, the more likely you are to end up on the wrong end of a complaint, and you are feeding them lots of evidence to do this.
Agreed be careful, make a note of every comment etc, build up a dossier of their actions. You are doing right in reporting it, but if after reporting it they find no grounds to take it further then you need legal advice i would say.0 -

I think you are letting the bully win by letting it get to you. I reckon everyone now thinks you are the problem.
I am soooooooo glad i don't work with someone like you.:cool:0
