Ok the statements have been returned to me and i've done the maths £3990.07 including Interest :eek: I was really shocked as i never thought it would be that much, the robbing swines.

Anyway the letters have been printed, one to my local Branch Manager and one to the Customer relations department based in Leeds.

I'm positive i'm going to have to go all the way with this claim and i'm happy to do so.

I've still got three credit cards to contact yet, so i must be going.:rolleyes:

I called Bank of Scotland last week to ask for a re-assessment, I was told this was underway but I wasn't given any dates or anything. It is a week tomorrow since I called, is it worth me phoning again tomorrow to find out what is happening or should I leave it for a while?

I have stuck to a timeline the whole way thru and now I am confused

Absolutley I called on Monday asking for a reassesment was told thet the could not give a timescale, phoned again today and my Current account will be investigated today and my other account has a deadline on the 17th of June.

All this should be added to your court file as in the case of them not making an offer it will show that you have made every effort to avoid going to court.

i phoned friday past and also on monday to be told i would have to wait the full 8 weeks.

should i phone up again this friday and see if they can speed it up or would that be viewed as me being a nuisance and maybe !!!!ing off the guys in the call centre?

had my claim for charges of £1186 rejected last week. have rung through today to ask for re-evaluation.
they asked me where i heard about this re-evaluation, i explained that i wished to pursue the matter with the ombudsman but they advised me to ask for this first.
they have now told me that i would get a decision within 8 weeks. i told them they have 28 days as this has been going on since 18th feb 2007.

well with me ...they said i was given 2 weeks since mine was an 'old' claim....by the way i started back in mid march.......so they have another week to give me my offer......If I were you, I would ring them to find out what their time scale is.....it seems as if they can take up to 8 weeks to re-evaluate.......But, according to Martin's info, they probably will make you an offer of 50%....then it's up to you to accept or go further for the full amount

2nd april requested statements sending £10 cheque, cheque returned along with statements and letter saying they wont charge for them this time

19th april sent 1st letter to halifax

4th may sent 2nd letter to halifax

15th may received a standard reply rejecting my claim, stating they considered the charges to be fair (i like a good comedian!)

17th may wrote 3rd letter to bank warning of legal action

no reply to date, so ive been to the courts today to collect the small claims forms... <sigh> why cant they just accept theyre wrong?!!!

evening folks,

i keep seeing posts on here which advise that the banks have 8 weeks to make an offer. i would like to know if this is from the date of the original request (in my case 14th April) or the date from the request to re-evaluate the rejected claim. (21st of may). If its the former then i should hear something in next couple of days. When i spoke to them on monday, all i got was there are no times scales and it will be dealt with when they get round to it. i intend to call at least twice a week just to make sure they dont forget about poor old me.

Any advice would be most welcom.

well since i rand the cs on monday i have had a mysterious payment of £656.45 arrive in my account now concidering i am actualy claiming £2436.00 plus £120 cost's i think this is a !!!! take , so i call the cs again as it doesnt say who the payment is from , i ask is this from yourselves i got told i dont think so it dont look like it???????
so i have strange amount of money go in my bank account dont know where it's from and if it is from the bank they can dream on i want min of 2k i never ever asked for intrest as i didnt want to be greedy but this takes the !!!! and now if it is from the bank if they dont cough up the rest i will let it go to court because i am hopeing this will go in my favour that they paid some in my account without even asking if it was acceptable?
although it didnt go far as i already cleared 2 debts off with it this morning so if i get the rest i will have a bit of a fresh start this year ,:T
