Hi,
I phoned again this morning (01977 627422) and spoke to a lovely man who was much nicer than anyone else I had spoken to. Basically he said they are entitled to take up to 8 weeks to deal with a re-assessment but you generally hear about an offer within 2-3 weeks, if I haven't heard by 3 weeks then to phone back. I also slipped into conversation that I had passed on the details to the Financial Ombusdman (who I got a letter from yesterday saying they had started to investigate it!). I have done everything I can now, apart from MCOL which I can't afford just now. Will have to keep my fingers crossed:think:

Good luck my advice to anyone here is to keep up the pressure on the BOS by any means possible. I will b ephoning them again today and if I have no luck I am passing the details onto the onbudsman. I am also innitiating an unrelated complaint to the Onbudsman about the way they pulled the OD on my bill payment account, I wasn't going to bother but I am absolutley fed up with them. I hope that others with simular grevances against the BOS follow suit. "I'm Just A Demin Boy"

What is the process of doing this?
Do you phone them and if so what is their number, or do you send them a letter and if so what exactly do you tell them?
Is it just that you have lodged a request for the money or do you have to divulge all of the details ie send them exact copies of the letters you sent to the bank.
Im wondering if this would be a worthwhile step for me to take.
MCOL is out as i am not claiming enough to necessitate paying them £120 as read in another post.

Thanks CazMc for this number have just called them myself and spoke to a lovely chap, far better than the 08457 number, he was surprised my claim hadn't been dealt with yet, and I will def here something in the next week. He almost made a mistake re:telling me the process, "what happens is you'ill get an offer, then you ring and we up it" but quickly retracted and said "in some cases" So fingers crossed. have found its handy to keep letting them know your alive and keep note of everyone you spoke to date/time etc. and make small talk with them they eventually slip up and give you too much info.:jDuct tape is like the force. having read posts on the revaluation tactic, i decided to call halifax this morning and ask them to revaluate my case. i was told that theyd received my last letter and as a consequence the case was already in the system for revaluation and they aim to respond by 20th july, i advised i wanted an answer within 14 days and was told it just wasnt possible and 8 weeks is the timescale for a revaluation from start to finish... so the question is do i wait?!!0

so i have strange amount of money go in my bank account dont know where it's from and if it is from the bank they can dream on i want min of 2k i never ever asked for intrest as i didnt want to be greedy but this takes the !!!! and now if it is from the bank if they dont cough up the rest i will let it go to court because i am hopeing this will go in my favour that they paid some in my account without even asking if it was acceptable?
although it didnt go far as i already cleared 2 debts off with it this morning so if i get the rest i will have a bit of a fresh start this year ,:T

Fantastic information there thanks for sharing. Just phoned the bank again and woo hoo they are looking at my claim as we speak. Will call again before the weekend to chase them up and keep the pressure on them.
One thinks that they could have saved themselves a lot of money by making a goodwill offer as soon as somebody claimed, all they are doing by procrsatinating is anoying people. "I'm Just A Demin Boy"
