Just been told that YB & A&L were ordered to show the true calculation of their 'Unautherised Overdraft Fees'. Does this mean that all YB & A&L customers will be entitled to the overcharged fee's without questioning..?

  • I have started the whole bank charge process trying to reclaim money from Yorkshire Bank; however when I last checked the money claim online website I found the message below.
You are unable to take any further action online on this claim.

The Defendant disputes the whole amount you have claimed. Your claim cannot proceed online and will be transferred to the appropriate court for continuation. You will receive confirmation to where the claim has been transferred to shortly.<O:p</O:p
I now know that my claim has been sent to Wolverhampton</ST1:place combined court, I’m very anxious about this decision and don't know what I’m supposed to do now. Will I be expected to go to court? Will this cost me money? And is this whole thing worth the hassle<O:p</O:p
    <O:p</O:p
    Please advise..<O:p</O:p

You will receive notification of the transfer if you haven't already and the court will instruct on he next steps.

You may have to fill in an allocation questionnaire to send back to the court which will cost £100 but many courts are doing away with this now and you will be sent a hearing date.

Usually the banks pay up before the hearing date reaches or as it nears, however, some people do have to attend court, dont worry, the banks don't.

Sit tight, don't panic you'll have your money in due course and yes it's definately worth the hassle !!

Good luck with your claim :)

T&C for internet and phone banking are at http://www.ybonline.co.uk/0,,68762,00.html but not entirely relevant :( I'll check again latter when I pop round to my friends house as they have YB OnLine banking and you may need to be signed in.
