You mean those aren't normal and beautiful?? I have all of those too
Perhaps those people implying we should all parade around naked haven't seen the shocking truth of REAL bodies  They are probably the types who walk out of the gym looking better than when they went in!!! A rare phenomenon!!Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?0 -

Didn't you have separate changing rooms for the girls? I was at a single sex school but I assumed co-eds had separate facilities.0 -
With all due respect MrsE it's irrelevant if you think upto 8 is too old to be using the womens changing rooms. They are what the swimming pool has said their rules are. It's quite a common age for rules to change when children reach 8. The swimming pool/toilets one is the same where I live, ok until 8. I can see why the Mum of the child is reluctant to let her child go in the mens changing rooms alone. She can't walk in there and suss it out first. If you've never been in the position where you have had a child of the opposite sex with you in these circs, cos either you only had same sex children/grandchildren or they are still tots it's not always easy to see where the parent is coming from.
What was the ladies response when you suggested she use the family cubicles? You could speak to the management again and ask if they could put a politely worded notice up about using the family changing rooms. You could also wear your swimming costume under your clothes so you wouldn't be naked getting undressed, practise with a towel so you don't need to strip off to get dressed and leave showering naked till you get home as suggestions to ease how uncomfortable you are feeling.:)0 -
I agree there should be far more than 2 private cubicles. Its modern, lots of parking, closest to me, its lovely inside, 2 glass walls & a glass roof.
But I think they should have installed more cubicles, instead of being ultra modern.
I will use the family facilities & not have to change in front of school boys, they are lovely, they have showers in each one & loads of space.
LOL.. the facilities are there to be used... and you can dance around in the shower as naked as a newborn and no one can peek.. Go for it!!!

Pigpen, a lot of places don't have cubicles. My gym does but only two so if they are in use, you just have to change in the communal area.
People are naked 'cause it's difficult coordinating towel around body, putting on knickers over wet clammy legs and !!!! and putting your bra on without dropping the towel and flashing all to everyone. I certainly try to change as 'modestly' as possible, more because I appreciate that while my white flabby bum and boobs aren't offensive to me, other people would probably prefer not to be eye-level with them and I can empathise with thathowever a quick flash is to be expected.
So in answer to "I don't understand why you would be naked?" I think it's fair to say "because you would be removing a bathing costume which involves baring flesh!"0 -

She still needs to take off her wet costume and get dressed though and using the towel idea seems unnecessarily awkward to me. When I went I always had my costume under my clothes and showered with it on, don't most people?Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

I can't understand why you would be naked, I've not been swimming in many years but was never naked in front of anyone, I think it is fairly obvious from my quantity of children I am far from prudish lol.. If there are no individual cubicles to change in use the family changing facilities it is no more selfish than exposing your small boys to other females poor lads are probably traumatised. Or go to a pool with cubicles.
Is it more or less appropriate than my OH taking our daughter swimming and her being at eye level to wrinkly winkles in the mens changing room..
I would be naked because there are only 2 cubicles in the whole female changing room & I didn't like to hog the family facilities.0 -

Anyway there is nothing you can do to completely cover up when you get out.
To be honest I don't think I should have to get changed or dressed fretting about covering up because school boys are in the female changing room!!!0
