children in communal changing rooms

My entirely illogical 10 year old can do it, I'm sure an adult can manage with a bit of practise. Put your towel round you wrapping it like a boob tube whist you slide your cossie down, then put your knickers on. Put your bra on by turning the clasp bit so it's at the front and slightly on the boob tube bit of the towel, turn the bra round and put your boobies into the cups taking some of the towel with you. When bra in place take the towel away from brast area. You are now dressed in your underwear at least. I'm pretty sure I can dress into a whole outfit without showing my bits. A skirt is easier though, as this can go on after pants and you are only concentrating on keeping the towel from not exposing your top half. Just an idea to consider. I've never been to any swimming pool where the people shower naked in a communal area, but the OP says they do at theirs as that question came up earlier.
I reckon you should print these instructions out and laminate them for use in all changing rooms!!!!!! Hilarious :rotfl:
Edited to say - I used to do this too when i was a teenager forced to get changed with the other girls at school etc.... but i would not blinkin' well be bothering to do it at the ripe old age of 30 years in a public changing room!! Cubicles are the only way for me...Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?0 -

What age do you think is too old for a boy to be in the female changing room?
I think the presence of dedicated family facilities means there is no excuse for any boy older than a toddler to be in there.
Sorry, haven't read the whole thread, but I wouldn't feel comfortable showering if there were older boys around, either. I don't usually take off my cossie anyway. I think the local pool has a sign up politely requesting that bathers keep their costumes on when using the showers.
I do sympathise with the mother of a young boy. 8 is a bit young for a boy to go on his own into the mens changing rooms. But I agree with OP - they should in that case use the family cubicle, especially if those cubicles have showers.
I'd run it past the manager of the pool. You never know there might be other pool-users who feel the same way as you. If enough people say something they might agree to re-organise it so that mums with boys can change together.0 -

What an odd woman who wants to chat for hours in a changing room. WEIRDO.... Who wouldnt get changed and then pop into the cafe bit and natter over a latte and a fruit shoot for the kids
I think she liked the sound of her own voice & people are trapped there listening to her.....
She has a friend with her sometimes & the friend has a school boy child with her too.0 -
Hopefully the boys may get fed up of having to go in there!
My 8yr old son is so anti-girls at the moment .... on the odd occasion he has come into the ladies toilets with me, he has refused to come out of the cubicle until he can hear that EVERYONE else has left the hand washing area. As u can imagine, we have sometimes had a fair wait  AND i must have looked a right weirdo, hanging around on my own in the toilets watching a closed door......Baldrick, does it have to be this way? My son is 9 and i would say 8 is just about the right age to make childeren use changing rooms of the same sex as in the last yr or 2 he has become more independant and wants to use the mens changing room.0

Oooh... you could start singing loudly... If you're naked and you know it waggle your boobs.... if you're naked and you know it waggle your boobs.. if you're naked and you know it and you want everyone else to know it too.. if you're happy and you know it waggle your boobs
Ooooh I could have fun with this one..

I can manage to get dried and dressed in a communal changing room with minimal flashing, it's fairly easy to just turn to the wall for the bits where you need to drop the towel for a split second and that's just when there are other women in there :rotfl:
I would be using the family changing rooms and letting it all hang out so I could get dried properly as the only thing that puts me off swimming (prior to reading Pigpen's post about bum clinkers ) is trying to put clothes onto still damp skin.Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
