You shouldn't, if you are uncomfortable with it you use the provided facilities if the staff don't like it they will have to come up with a solution they cannot stop you from using the family cubilces. Your feelings are as valid as anyone elses.
Well I'll use a cubicle because I don't want to see other ladies in the niff thanks...
Ok.. so I don't go swimming anyway because I wouldn't get in a bath with strangers so why would I get in a large bath aka pool with others people with their unwashed willies and bum clinkers... I have a few issues with swimming haha
Whats a bum clinker? is it a winnet?0 -

I thought that at the time.
We had our fair share of eating disorders and hang ups, but. Do think we were aware that bodies came it different ( healthy and normal ) shapes from that experience.0 -

Perhaps those people implying we should all parade around naked haven't seen the shocking truth of REAL bodies  They are probably the types who walk out of the gym looking better than when they went in!!! A rare phenomenon!!
I don't think any one would so anything they are it comfortable with, but I have no issue with saggy boobs, flabby areas , too skinny areas. It's all 'normal'. I am aware I have a distinctly relaxed attitude to nudity but I think most naturists also will say that they really do come in all natural presentation, and are unconcerned about gym perfection, merely feeling comfortable in themselves. I admit I am less confident now I am less attractive, but still 'ok' with my own nudity.0 -

I'd like to add that it's easier to be ok with nakedness if you have a pretty ordinary body. If you have any kind of obvious disability, deformity or disfigurement (or even just an unusual appearance) then getting undressed in front of gawping pre-pubescent can be a much more daunting prospect.
This is what I find now. Confronting it on occasion is actually really helpful to me, but I am aware me naked is not particularly enjoyable for every one else ( I am overweight, not disfigured, though I have quite a lot of scars, they don't worr my in the slightest.). My sibling is very scarred, extremely so, i think many would consider them disfigured in the extreme, and I suppose growing up with sibling being comfortable with their body has been really helpful to me. Sibling uses communal changing rooms and is not shy!0 -

Hello, this thread has made me think. I have a 4 1/2 year old son and a 1 year old son. I have to take them both into the female changing rooms with me because of their age at the moment. But I have seen older boys in the female change rooms, and have only felt uncomfortable once when some older boys came in-they looked about 10 and seemed far too old to bein there. They were looking at the ladies with far too much interest. Under 8 seems fine to me.
My husband has taken my older son into the mens changing room and my son says he prefers coming in with me (don't think he liked the smell hehe! sweaty gym people lol). Hubby said there was a little girl in there with her dad, and that made him feel a tad umcomfortable for some reason and felt the need to turn away (there weren't any cubicles in there to use) and hurry up to get his clothes on. So I don't think it's strange for a woman or teenage girl to feel uncomfortable with young boys being in the female change room.
I am glad our new leisure centre has a variety of family rooms, cubicles and communal change areas to choose fromThis gives everyone a choice they are happy with.
