You are kidding right?

The storecupboard challenge thoughts...- we discovered our weekly pattern - Sat morn to Weds lunch it's easy to stick to the stores & make do with what's on hand
- Weds dinner + Thurs + Fri - a lot more difficult to keep on the straight and narrow and this is when the impulse buying happens & red sticker deals sneak into the house - mostly due to mid-week exhaustion & late returns home from work - willpower is very very weak on an empty stomach
- rather than completely fight the end of week digression we're being really good on weekends & early in the week & trying not to go overboard with the purchases when they do happen, limiting it to just what we'll eat on the day & no storage or freezer buys!
- freezer stock has reduced down to half & judging by the freezer drawer full of assorted cheeses we have to admit we have a cheese addiction (realizing the problem is half the battle :rotfl:)

Hey there RT - nice of you to share - its funny when you start noticing things isn't it. And yay for treat and exciting things like sushi packs
I love sushi.
We have a similar pattern to you I think - which is intersperced with randomly turning up Mr Me's which sort of somehow throw the proceedings as he likes to eat out often (his budget not mine).
Also other related activities often throw me - like today's plan for tea to be a roasty family affair.
The ex-cellist is off at orchestra (she also plays tuned precussion) and is out from 2.30 til late.
I'm currently roasting a chook. Whilst we never have 'sunday lunch' (being Scottish you have this mostly at t-time) today will be the exception to the rule otherwise my whole weeks meal plan will go wonky.
Them's the breaks eh?
Yesterday some reduced milk followed me home and is now tucked up in the freezer snoozing (as I'd taken out the 1pint that was in there) c'est la vie - couldn't turn down 2ltrs at 53p.
Off to walk muttlets in what appears to be sunshine whislt a very sleepy chook roasts early.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

PS seriously - who does 'without cheese' - I know right.
Still a close call theres not much of it in there. Out frozen cheese mountain almost entirely found its way into my chops.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

"Free" sunday lunch here, a wild pheasant was silly enough to walk in front of hubbys gun this week ! Ive never cooked pheasant before, so pot roasting it with veggies, garlic and a few herbs, an adaption of a bbc good food recipe that I didnt have half the ingredients for .
So that along with home grown tatties and veg ... I feel a snoozy afternoon coming on !Its just a bad day, Not a bad life .. :cool:0 -
Mara I hope it was yummy - the accidental pheasant
- I'm awa' for a walk cos if I don't I'll need a 'swadge'
(which is pronounced swa - dge) and I think means to lie around after eating groaning and lolling!
Mara will keep me right.
And - I had a lovely chat whilst cooking an early roast with my lovely DS over video Skype.
Aww - so nice to see him happy - he's just started back at uni.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Yer poor mum. Hugs to her. Two hips is indeed a big deal.
Son is indeed like pig in muck - its so lovely to hear cos at 400 miles away - it would be awful if he was upset or sad. Heart goes out to others with unhappy little'uns away.
He's just loving his flat.lots of wedding prep here today ceremonys, signs, grub etc.

Pinch punch first of the month and all that.
Hope you're all fine.
Some exciting things for the now
I got paid and the cheque is in the bank
I got some accommodation cheques
We got some wedding cards - how exciting is that.
Mr Me got his first pair of wellyboots (awww) which are bright yellow and clash wonderfully with his rock god outfit for the after party.
(lets just say there are some texts you shouldn't read* and some sights your eyeballs will never forgive you for**.)
*can you pick me up a blonde wig please
**FB has the scary evidence of just how beautifully this man clashes with his new boots. Just a taster mind.
Today's things to do
Check banks
Find credit card which is safely hidden (?)
Work hard
Try and fit in more walking tonight
Will my body mass into reducing just a touch more.
Meals from the stores
Send DS a box of goodies containing several single socks and some pots.
Hope you all have a lovely day.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
