    Recycled Bread ??

Mr Me's Ma was here for a week and left a bit of a wholemeal loaf which she was going to put in the bin - I said I'd 'recycle' it to the birds as I snatched it from the clutches of the bin.

Today it seems I'm a bird with my recycled bread.

Now that I read back - recycled bread sounds a bit um, dodgy.:p

Mr Me's awa' on the early boat for his stag doo. Mountain biking/tree climbing and then a curry - busy weekend for him!

(Loved the wellyboots - set his outfit off right bonnie:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)

So I had a forage in the fridge/freezer/fruit bowl and then went shopping. My meal planning tends to be reverse engineered - must think one up now :)

    Total spends not too bad.

(5.55 in butchers/greengrocers - and in the co-op 12.72 (£3 of ice-cream for DD - essential don't you know), some reduced f/r chicken and a block of cheese (phew) and some well needed laundry liquid.

(which Didn't include a two litre milk for 20p which had JUST gone out of date - they couldn't sell me it - gah. I did offer to just rehome it but was politely refused.) *so annoying*

I got petrol. (£20 put on card as I've work mileage over the weekend :))

I've now the princely sum of £3.72 left to my name.

At the age of 45 you'd think I'd learn to actually think about what I'm spending what I might be able to splurge on and what I can lend folks - sort of forgot I lent three different folks money this month - whilst its not a problem in the grander scale of things and I'm so chuffed I was able to help its left my cash flow a bit blocked.

Hopefully the wages will clear (cheque in the bank) early in the week before we need to spend much more :)

Hey £3.72 goes along way somedays.

    :D

Total spends for Oct £18.27+9p milk = £18.36

    Hi Pippi and all!

Gosh Weliefest is getting close now... glad the planning is all going well. Thanks for the photo of Mr Flowers in the amazing wellies! I'm not on FB so miss out on these little insights otherwise.

Busy here but mostly with unexciting but necessary stuff. But I have just been in the garden pruning back lots of uninvited bushes and rediscovering corners of the garden I'd forgotten about! Have also been doing some family recycling; little one (now 15 months) was enjoying collecting bits and pieces and carrying them around, so I made her her own little shoulder bag out of part of the leg of an old pair of jeans with a little applique design (just sewed round a fish from another scrap of patterned fabric) and she was quite chuffed! Big one (7) is also working on recycling her old holey leggings into T-shirts for her toys. You would be proud of us I think!

Off to rustle up some sort of veg curry for tea now. Don't forget to send us the wellywoodland details!

Oh wow you sound busy there troglodyte :)

Awh to a lovely shoulder bag. :)

I dont' think anyone really needs to see Mr F to be in his yellow wellygogs and zebra print trousers but it does make me giggle so I'm glad it made you giggle too.

    2 weeks on Sunday.

Insert very scared face that's also excited.

The wellyfest woodland forest link is now on the bloglet for family who aren't on FB either - it has its own peedie sapling page too. :)

Thank you so much for asking - and the little walnut you sent has a very special place earmarked too. (Its going to be in the nuttery - surrounded by Wik's purple hazels (of which the squirrels have nicely buried lots and they've all sprung up as saplings)

    :D

Thanks for asking Trog - please don't feel obliged to look well do ogle at the wedding woodland where we're actually getting married - its going to be gorgeous and the photo is from about 20 metres from our 'we do bit'!

  • Oh how the day has gone.

A relatively quick and busy day at the womble central.

Just finishing up with a cuppa before I brave home and three teenage girls and two dogs. Not sure which combo of those will be the harder!

Work money isn't showing in the bank - and I put it in on Tues. Boo.

Its not fun being paid by cheque.

Also went off to investigate the card of creditness which is missing - seems I've not had it since the land of the jute and journalism.

    Curiouser and Curiouser

SO far a NSD - although two things might hamper this.

A natty set of digital scales in red at work for 50p which would do DS nicely in his kitchen and match his lovely LFHW apron.

And a bread maker - which is destined for the great recycling place in the sky (we dont' sell donated electricals) - but the other place that does doesn't want it.

Its spanking and hardly used and with an instruction book. I don't have one...............

I could make a wee donation but I can't buy it.

Currently wondering however if I actually 'need' it.

Lunch was a delight of reduced sparra' grass and an egg which was poached due to cracked shell on arrival.
    And a cupasoup
And three hundred tonnes of oatcakes - they sneak up on you - prob cos they're one of those super foods (with a cape and everything)

So potentially a 50p spend day and a contemplation regarding making a donation for the breadmaker.

Car boot sale tomorrow with work - might give myself a wee pound or two to spend at it.

Living on the edge and all that. I might actually go crazy!
