Now that one needs special compost - ericaceous.

If you pot it in normal compost it will pop its clogs its an acid lover.

So buy some of that compost when you're out too.

  • Well its hammering it down today - been out for an early walk but I'm so glad i'm not out now.

Teabreak time at work so I'll pop up my list for today.

    Do work expenses
    Do banks
    Do cc's
    Work hard
Meal from stores now nicely replenished
Try and have a NSD we don't actually NEED anything.
Spag bog to portion up for freezer

You were getting a funny message from mse? Hmmm .... I couldn't log on at all for a little while ... I'm glad you're on now :)

Ug! Very grey here, but nice and warm, I'm just in a vest top and cotton trousers :)

I often do my list for the day the previous night, when I get into bed :o I do it on my mobile, because at least I can see it :D and then my sleep isn't disturbed by thinking "ooh, I must do this" (tho its disturbed by other things, aches and pains nothing exciting) and I can start as soon as I'm ready. Currently I'm writing something down in my diary when I've done it and deleting it from the mobile. OCD, moi? :p

Certainly is! And that "work hard" bit covers a multitude! Tell Mr Flowers you have a cut-off point :)

I had a lovely weekend, btw - found some sloe trees with fruit on, in fact, which was amazing - hard as bullets, obviously, but it means that the ones in walking distance of me must have a chance to have fruit too. And I found half a dozen sweet chestnut trees in walking distance ... and something my new friend was doing - she'd found an old trestle table in the garage, and the table bit had disintegrated, so she was using the legs to support strings that supported her raspberry canes, it looked great :j

    Have a good'un :A

OMG, I had to come to mse to be able to communicate it to people who will understand :rotfl:a Morrisons Local has opened just beyond the other end of my road, where a nasty pub used to be, and how shall I say it, they've over-estimated the amount of fresh food that people round here will buy - I just bought reduced nectarines, pomegranate seeds (!), carrots, beansprouts, mushroom stir fry and custard tarts :j plus their ordinary feta is a bit cheaper than Sainsbo which is still the only proper sized supermarket in this town. I don't know how long this bonanza will last, but I'm liking it :rotfl:

Never a truer word spoken KC..........

mum2one - I'm sure Pippi will correct me if I am in anyway leading you astray, but I think I am right in saying that blueberries prefer to be watered with rainwater too. Ours thrive on neglect, but always respond better when we water them with water from the b.u.t.t than out of the tap. Plus they can take a good soaking, as they are native boggy/marsh plants???? (Pip to confirm that......)

    Have a good evening folks.
