  • Crazy busy weekend - which was filled with lots of work and nonsense.

However I'm cream crackered now after a long day at work, then the lady helping me with my frock popped over to see it and nows taken it off to have a go at sorting a bit of it for me.

:) I'll pay her in vegetables

And we've both decided that this frock is 'the one' so £20 for a dress can be scored off the budget.

Tea was from stores (corn beef hash)
    Another NSD
Did an hour at my 'other' work before I went to my 'real other' work - so a few more pennies in the bank.
I got given back £50 from a chum I lent it too - but as those pesky money fairies might eat it - I think I must put it in the bank tomorrow and pick up my work cheque and do the same with it.

Must go out again and walk the doggies I've only walked 2.5 miles today but I'm so tired.

I hope you're all well and dandy - thanks for popping by.

    :)

Hey bob its mine too but no one here likes it - so when I'm home alone I eat all sorts of yummy things that only I like

    Corn beef hash
    Mushy peas
    Rice pudding
    Custard
    Cauli cheese
    Haggis (not the dog)
    etc etc etc

The fiends who I live with are a bit picky so I buy all that kind of stuff throughout the year when its on offer and I gorge myself when folks are gone.

Today I'm gorging on boiled eggs which only Mr F likes.

I've no idea why I inherited a family who don't like boiled eggs.:o

  • Now today has been a rather early start and a pacing day.

Its results day in the land of the kilts.

I've been waiting until its OK to call the darling girl and see what her results were.

And - she was in the shower.

How rude is that - today of all days, I'd have preferred her dirty.

    Paces room.

Pacing is good when you're trying to clock up lots of distance though, surely? You must be able to count all that against your 5 miles a day...? :D

SO glad you decided that dress was the one - although I think you already knew actually! You're going to look absolutely beautiful! :kisses3: VERY excited about all this - MUST GET FLIGHTS BOOKED! (The sleeper was a no-go due to Scotfail being fiends and not releasing the tickets when they were meant to, but instead leaving them until I was up to my neck in a swimming pool. Fiends, I tell you!)

I like all the things that only you like with the exception of the mushy peas. I mean why?! what have the poor peas ever done to you?!

  • Jelly and icecream - yum yum yum

And we're officially food twins. I found the children in the reduced section, its not their fault.

  • EH - well here's hoping eh! and how rude of the train folks.

Mushy peas are epic, they deserve some mushy love.

Pacing paid off. Clever DD - did well in her exams. So I did a happy dance.

  • So here's the thing.

Tonight I nearly caved in on my 'don't buy food thing' its been a long long day and I was in my 'other' work after my first work.

    Still following?

So after an hour and a half watering and tie-ing in tomatoes - I was dreaming of something quick.

Then, when you think about stopping and buying grub and then going home - I just went straight home

    Hurray!

I had fish from the freezer, tatties given from a chum and one of the four million courgettes I have lodging in my kitchen.

Cheery's left over cheese added to a bit of milk for a sauce.

    So another NSD
I got a work cheque today - hurray
    DD's exam results were epic
I've walked 4 miles already today
And I'm full of cupboard grub.

    A good day.

Thank you all for being so inspiring - being a single parent, on a budget quest and juggling stuff is so much easier knowing you're all around.

Merci buckets and all that jazz you're all ace.
