Pippi and EssexHebridean specifically, but anyone else feel free to have a look, I saw mention of a book on Foraging today - apologies if you know about it already - it has been published since March - but it was mentioned on MissMarmiteloversblog (it's the last book reviewed in today's post) and I thought you may be interested, a) because it's about foraging and cooking and b) because the author, Fiona Bird, is from the Outer Hebrides.
Hope you are all well. 'Free' food and good company sounds wonderful Pippi - enjoy!

Thanks for both the link and the blog link - they both look quite fun.
I'll see if I can get the library to get it in and have a peek at it.
You see I have learnt that I don't need to rush out and buy EVERY good book I see.
Well, sometimes.
I have to confess I ordered Alys's new book without even looking at a review of it.
As she's unashamedly my younger more glamorous sister, its bound to be good.
I must write and tell her how she made me water my ipad.
Its a bit sick now.:rotfl::(Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Aaaaargh to the train trip north !! Altho not quite as soul destroying as doing it by bus !
Enjoy your adventure
PS .. I will be spending the weekend on a tractor, or feeding lots of men-folks !
Ah well I hope they both went well.
The train has wifi - how novel. This mainland lark is quite something! I have to say I am preferring it to driving up the A9 (again) - I'm back down again in 3 weeks but will see if I can wangle a flight next time......

I don't see why the library wouldn't at least consider getting the Foraging book. After all, J K Rowling isn't the only Scottish author that needs supporting
Actually, it totally slipped my mind to ask you if you had heard Alys Fowler on the Scottish version of the food programme - is it called something like Kitchen Garden? I was on the food programme website and saw the link to KG and went to have a nose. I think she was on something like the 7th (??) July. It was either going out of 'listen again' or had gone out of 'listen again' when I looked. But I wondered whether you had caught it in full first time around.

And yes I did hear that program - so engrossed I was that I watered my ipad whilst listening to it (and my tomatoes)
