More detail on the meal plan, please :rotfl: and if you can actually make a curry strudel, I think we should see pictures, thats really something :D

Karmacat, you said what I was thinking :D

Hey up Pippi and all the Stripey Gang. It crossed my mind today, I've not read postings from Lemontree in a while - is she still around??

Pippi - I have a cheese question. I was treated to a taste of 'Isle of Flowers' cheese the other day. I was told it was from Mr M supermarket (it was the colour of cheddar) - I have also seen 'Isle of Flowers' cheese the colour of double Gloucester in Mr T supermarket. Now, is this cheese actually a product of the Isle - given the short 'holiday' that milk producing (I assume) cattle enjoy on the island with y'all. Or is it much the same as any other S market bulk cheese in that it is called something, but is as likely to of been produced in a big stainless steel silo on an industrial estate, nowhere near the town, county or isle that bears its name?

I recall seeing an excerpt from an early Keith Floyd programme on 'Saturday Kitchen' and he visited your fair island. He met a REAL cheese maker who genuinely made artisanally crafted cheese (although she would not of called it that, it's just what was done... right?) in her outhouse. Elf and safety didn't come into it, but KF declared the end product delish - and I bet it was.

Anyway, the 'Isle of Flowers' cheese that I was treated to was delish, probably because it was in a salad sandwich, which had been made for us, served in the garden, with the sun shining, and sat next to DP - who was equally as **ackered as me with all the lawnmowing, weeding, watering.....:rotfl:Nope, it was delish - seriously. :)

Hope you have a good evening all. Off to watch the footy and eat the Bolognese I've just made.

    Toodle pip!

Greying all cheeses are made on the isles and we know the head of the cheese factory too :) and there are a few artisan cheeses too, we are truly blessed here perhaps we should be the isles of cheeses!

I'm glad you've had your feet up too with a nie sarnie.

I know LT is on the book of faces so next time I see her I'll give her a wee hello!

:) hope the bolognese was good.

Starnac he's now full of tomatoes ;) she's very clever than eh girl.

Now there are no photos of the chicken curry strudel, it's all scoffed. :) seems to have gone down a storm so if you have reduced pastry and a reduced dubious looking curry you know what To make :)

Kc I managed to give two tickets bought in jan to a close chum so I do feel better if a bit vexed at to going. Better forthe finances thugh.

:) el I hope your soil/ seeds behave soon.

Evening Pippi and Stripey Gang :hello:

'no evidence remains to be photographed, because it was all scoffed.....' - sounds like ringing endorsement of your strudel dish Pippi - well done! mmm I think I'll bear your idea in mind - especially when it's pumpkin season again. A pumpkin curry would probably work well in a strudel....mmmm :D

Yes, the Bolognese got polished off. Wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea as it was veggie. Made it with Puy style lentils that I got from approved foods a while back (BBE Dec 2012, but we're still here smiling :D) The spaghetti was YS from when co-op closed last year too. Tasty, nutritious and cheap - always top of my list of requirements :)

ooo, I'm liking the sound of the 'Flowery Isle Cheese Co.' - a company that actually makes the product where it is located - yay! In fact, I've just looked them up and I see Tom Kitchin is linked with them. He's a fine ambassador for Scottish food isn't he? He was mentoring young chefs for a show on BBC the other week. I only saw part of one episode (I think it was on nightly for a week) and not only were the young people a credit, but he was good with them too. I *love* that the cheese company has the weather report for their cows - Cow Climate - brilliant :rotfl: I would of felt even better as I tucked into my sarnie had I known that they were so caring of their girls! *affects Yoda pose* I must tell the non-gardening parental that they have chosen well and a cheese of high-pedigree...... and I'm sure that the nice young man, plying samples of the cheese and highlighting the special promotion price in Morrisons had nothing to do with it :rotfl:

I hope you are well and not working *too* hard.

The strudel sounds great! Now I need to research what makes a strudel a strudel - more to look at on the web, what a shame :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I haven't been able to get out into the garden for quite a few days - *incredibly* wet - by the time I get my wellies on, its not just spotting with rain, its pouring. Still, a weather report for cows **beams happily** I like that :j

Its lovely today - will definitely be out there playing :) Hope you have a good time too, Pippi, as well as you, Greying.

I've been "wriggling about" in the garden all day :) realised that I've been leaving the bones of the garden - the landscaping, if you like - to just sit there and not get finished. Given myself about a million headrushes today from bending over and standing up **gurgles** very odd. I think I need to stop now - what a coincidence, I have a cup of tea by my side :) Hope you're home from work by now.
