EH the garden was featured again tonight on the BBC2 coverage (at about 8.30ish) - Toby Buckland must really like the garden. It is the Motor Neurone Disease garden and it won a Gold Medal in the artisan gardens gategory. A picture of it is HERE (garden No. 7 just in case the link goes to the telegraph page rather than the specific pic).
Hope the cookery demo and class went well Pippi.

Quenelles ... and whisky sauce, oh my! Very yummy, Pippi
Mind you, at minus two, you obviously need them
its cold here, but nowhere near that. I did hear there was snow in the Chilterns this moth, and I've had hail twice this month (teeny tiny stuff).
Definitely having my own version of comfort food - mse hobnobsthough they taste a bit different now, as I realised I was putting twice the amount of fat in that I should have been - very
:o:o that!
And the snails and slugs are managing to get across my carefully broken eggshells! (wails unhappily) - I've surrounded some with more eggshells, and fringed the lot with coffee grounds, see how they like that, ha!
Don't work too hard! And glad to hear Mr Pippi is up there, he'll stop you doing that. I think :rotfl:
Oh dear KC, have you tried either beer traps (or water traps) sunk just shy of the ground height or a half a grapefruit , eaten but left for them to hide in?
Today's a balmy 8, feels like 6
I am actually taking Saturday off  to be with Mr F I think we might venture to anohter island.:T
I hope you have a fun weekend.KC snails have been at my lettuces tooI've got hardly any left now. It wouldn't be so bad but that was our attempt at making our tortoise almost self sufficient! We are trying to grow all the things he likes to eat so he only really costs us electric and nutrients. Do you realise how difficult it is to get dandelions to grow when you want them too???
:T:T:T:T:T self sufficient tortoise! :T:T:T:T:T
Argh to snails on lettuces. Poor you.
Have to tried to forage for dandielions from around where you live? Just a thought. I'd not forage for lettuce though, :rotfl:Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

We do forage for dandelions (DD loves doing it) but last year DH decided we would actually try to grow some in a small part of the garden. But they have never grown  I mean how hard can it be to grow a weed???? :rotfl:Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
*swoon* GP got mentioned in dispatches.....:D
Bravo Pippi - I think I would of much preferred to of attended the 'Chelsea North' gardening exhibition. I could of turned up in my gardening clobber and felt entirely comfortable and at home. I would of had to of kept MotoGP (DP) away from those oh so shiny grass munching tractors though. With the extensive estate that is now under grounds maintenance on a weekly basis, the pleas and whining would of been unbearable. Bigger wheels, bigger engine..... oh so tempting
Good on you for sharing the recycling of plastic boxes into plant labels. Anyone can do it and it takes quite a bulky item down into a few strips in a matter of minutes.
Have a great weekend everyone - whether you are island hopping, dandy lion foraging, or wrestling fence panels in and out of slotted posts in order to paint them.......:(

:hello: Hi Chev! The universe knows where its at, doesn't it :j
Pippi, have a great time island hopping. I *love* "dandy lion" - may have to adopt that2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Can anyone give me some advice on how to feed my soil? Nothing that I have planted as came up except some rocket ( but only a small bit) so I think I need to sort my soil out0

Hi there hmm I wonder what's up? It has been super cold for the time of year and nothing much is peeking up in my plots but I know I'm way further north than you.
Plenty organic matter? If not adding compost/grow bags would work lightly forked in.I'd not add manure into where seeds are going to go at this time of year but also good for future sites
Not too soggy? If it's a bit damp adding sand for drainage is good.
As you'll know a good mix of air/water/organic matter And soil is the perfect combo for a veggie garden, slightly acidic too as most veggies aside brassicas love it slightly below 7
Oh and sunshine/ warmth or nowt will grow.
Not sure I'm much help but if you need me look at it? Via photo or fb or whatever let me know
It's been cold though so its most likely just the seasons late to start?
Goodluck!
