How is this as a budget ?
Utilities £500
Council tax £?? (calculated with single person discount)
Personal spending £500 (hair clothes etc)
Petrol and car £260 (see above)
Plus child support as per CSA calculation (You've not said how much this is)
How does this compare with the suggested figure ?
I've tried to look at this with an assumption of "keeping lifestyle " and id obviously short term.
I assume you can then deduct a claimable benefits amount from this -JSA , Child Benefit and Child Tax Credit ?
The OP quoted these previously
1. BT Group PLC, telephone landline = £27.42
2. CIS F & A Insurance, House and contents insurance = £40.18
3. British Gas, British Gas service plan = £19.59
4. Plus Net PLC, Home internet = £19.19
5. BRGAS, Gas = £72.00
6. BRGAS-Electricity, Electricity = £55.00
7. Anglian water, Water = £42.00
8. SOUTH, Council Tax = £183.00
TOTAL = £459.10
So £459 includes the CT bill and all utilties. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
She is planning on moving out by September and refusing to claim benefits prior to the move, so it is relevant for when she moves.
There's probably an argument to be made that if she is entitled to be claiming benefits and isn't -then the amount should be deducted anyway.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
The car lease should be coming from her -Presumably you can end the lease if this is not acceptable to her.
Driving lessons and kids allowance are not a part of the calculation -they are things you are choosing to pay as Dad not as her husband.

House bills are £480 including council tax, utilities phone internet, content & buildings insurance. CSA at 15% is £555 so based on your figures that's ~£1800. The only income she now gets is £80 for Child Tax Credit. She has apparantly applied for child benefit but hasn't got it yet?
She refusus to apply for JSA as not intending to work in the area due to planning to move south soon or anywhere as she has a mug who is having to pay a solicitor to get a settlement that means she won't have to!Regards

My view is:
£480 - as you may be able to move back in the house
£555 - maintenance
£161 - car lease (at least until she moves south?)
£300 - personal spends
If she has already applied for CTC she will get it back-dated to the time of application. That is another £266.80 per month so she has £20K tax free after accomodation is sorted.
Given that you are providing the "children" with another £4300+ for driving lessons and allowance thats about half you net income. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
How does £1800 seem to you ?
More realistic ....or still high.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

She said now she will stay in house until sold as advised by solicitor. Probably because if move south she'll live at parents therefore don't need as much etc. So there's no chance of me moving back in. She's agreed to transfer DD to her account for house so we can close joint.Regards

So she is quite prepared to muck your son's education around?
Either he starts his new course at home or in his grandparents town and need to be at college for the next two years, so he needs stability.
On the other hand, there is now nothing to stop her starting to look for work locally as even temporary work would be advantageous on her CV.
And I foresaw a nightmare managing the sale if the financial settlement had not be agreed. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

Too much as basically half but I've still got to pay rent for a hole, bills, fuel, living etc driving lessons and allowances for the children and I've still got to pay off credit card debt of £9K (soon to be 10K with solicitors bills).
If it goes to an unreasonable amount then I'll have to request she covers the driving lessons and allowances.
Are there any other known cases where because one isn't earning the other has to provide half their income? Or refering to the original request 75%?Regards

Indeed!
I made these points to her last night even if it's a permanent job.Regards

Then usual deal is CSA at 15% (for one child) on top of benefits and the PWC pays all the household bills.
Given the relatively high costs of the current accomodation, I would have said that the above plus half the £480 is the bottom end of the range. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
