£31,200 per year for doing nothing! On top of free accomodation.
Does she think she is Mrs Prest? By the way she appears to have been granted 30-35% of assets and has 4 children. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
- How much she wants me pay to her during this period until settlement is agreed. They have requested £2600 a month!
1) Her lease car £161
2) Children allowance £100 direct to their accounts
3) Driving lessons £240
4) £130 minimum credit card payment (£9K 0% credit card debt)
.
I actually spat out my cup of tea when I read that!
I thought the suggested interm figure of £1k a month was more than generous, considering the ages of your children.
Your ex is living in cloud cuckoo land!0 -
If I may tentatively suggest ... it looks to me as if your ex (and her lawyer) is deliberately putting forward ridiculous amounts so that when they reduce them you'll be so relieved that you'll agree to a much higher figure than you really should.
You may have already considered this, but it;s just to remind you not to agree to £1500 just because it's better than £2600Do you not know that a man is not dead while his name is still spoken?

And to think I was considering putting a cheque in with her birthday card next week...Think I might get a refund on the card I bought last night.Regards

She is entitled to approx £730 per month in benefits PLUS rent at the LHA rate. (this is based on £100 pm CT bill so she could have another £80 if she was currently claiming)
Plus 15% of your salary for the younger child.
If you pay her spousal maintenance all that does is reduce what she can claim in benefits. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
The car lease should be coming from her -Presumably you can end the lease if this is not acceptable to her.
Driving lessons and kids allowance are not a part of the calculation -they are things you are choosing to pay as Dad not as her husband.
How is this as a budget ?
Utilities £500
Council tax £?? (calculated with single person discount)
Personal spending £500 (hair clothes etc)
Petrol and car £260 (see above)
Plus child support as per CSA calculation (You've not said how much this is)
How does this compare with the suggested figure ?
I've tried to look at this with an assumption of "keeping lifestyle " and id obviously short term.
I assume you can then deduct a claimable benefits amount from this -JSA , Child Benefit and Child Tax Credit ?I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -

Rent isn't applicable as she is residing in the outrightly owned marital home.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Amoungst other things my solicitor (who is doing very nicely on this with letters and phone calls!) has requested the following in another letter:
Could you also confirm what your client is doing to increase her income capacity at this time.Regards
