Seems like a bit of an own goal; a revamp that 'annoys' established 'customers'. :hmm:0 -
I have never been a Quidco member, and have never used their services.
However, I still received their email yesterday ... completely out of the blue!
I can only surmise they have got my email address from the database of one of the companies they have a discounting agreement with.0 -
I left them last month after waiting a year for cashback and 7 support tickets raised. I told them I was with topcashback now as at least they didn't charge the £5 a year.
They said they used the £5 annual fee to bring in new innovative ideas such as the new shopping thing they have going now and please would I consider staying. I said no just remove my details and close the account.
I wonder if they have now lost so many customers for this that they have come up with this 2 tier system.Life is not the way it’s supposed to be. It’s the way it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference.0 -
I've paid my £5 already for this year so until October I will see if its worth having ( probably not ) then will cancel then.
I will make a note in my calander and set alarms so I don't use the account before downgrading. Not too worried until then.
I do use topcashback as well but every time there's been a manual claim its taken ages no feedback and then refused I don't really trust them and only use them if I have to.0 -
I used Quidco straight away after a friend recomendation. I then found out about TCB. Used TCB 4 times, and all 4 times they took a minimum of 6 months to pay me the money. 1 of them never tracked, raised a claim, and they couldn't even sort that out for me.
Quidco on the other hand has been brilliant. All transactions have tracked, and when I haven't been happy with the time taken to be confirmed. It's much easier to contact Quidco support team, and they have always resolved my problem. I've been happy paying the £5 a year fee. But I will be even happier when I downgrade to basic. Seems a no brainer really, and the basic will still be better than TCB.0 -

I'm also still cross over the DGM collapse in 2010.
I was waiting for £80 from Orange, TCB PAID OUT to their customers.
As a customer of Quidco I RECEIVED NOTHING.
That was the begining of the End for Quidco.
How can they possibly even think they could continue to charge a fee for their service after the way they handled customers back in 2010. People have long memories, Quidco where's my £80?After reading PtL Vaubans Guide , please don't desert us, hang around and help others!

I've now been downgraded, and it will make me use them more.
What we all need is healthy competition between Quidco and topcashback, and the fact that there is now no fee distinction between the two means I can use each liberally.
I've not been too happy with TCB's tracking lately.0 -
The original premise of Quidco was that they passed on all the commission from the retailer, and in return they made their money on a £5 a year deduction from your cashback.
If theyre now offering the service for free, does that mean that they are not passing on all the commission for the free customers and for the paying customers?illegitimi non carborundum0 -

I've always wondered about this, with topcashback too. If Quidco were passing on 100% and retaining £5 a year, and topcashback were giving as good returns as Quidco and not retaining £5, how did TCB ever make any money?0
