Been using topcashback for years sometimes it doesn't track, and I need to put a manual claim in, but I've yet to have a claim rejected. I've earned almost £500 in cashback since signing up about 4-5 years ago.

I've been a Quidco member since 2008 and the last cashback I got was for checking in on 29th March, but I can't downgrade. The button is just greyed out. I hope the £5 doesn't include check-ins, as that's all I use Quidco for now. Topcashback is always my first choice as long as there's not a difference of more than £5 on the cashback checker.

So I got the premium email. Didn't seem much change at first, and planned to click on the links and read the small print later. Before I got round to doing that, my husband gets the basic email telling him it's now free to use. Quidco sneakily didn't mention that there was now a free option in the premium email. Clearly they are hoping people won't read the small print on the site and therefore not realise that by downgrading they get pretty much the same for free. Silly really, given that the most active users are probably a very clued up group.

That sharp practice and the fact that Quidco constantly fails to track and then declines my legitimate claims has really put me off using them again. By comparison, I've hardly ever had a topcashback transaction fail to track and never had one declined. Earned over £1000 with topcashback since I joined, and they almost always have a higher rate of cashback.

Quidco have lost my business except when I can't get cashback for a particular retailer on topcashback.

Oh, and apparently I'm forced to be a premium member until November, which is the anniversary of my joining them. So that's me closing my account with them then.

Agree with many of the views about Quidco. I got the 'upgraded to premium' e-mail but rarely use them anyway. Earnt about £5.00 last year compared to more than £200 on Top Cash Back. Much prefer TCB who always seems track transactions and on the one occasion I had to query a 'snap and save' transaction recently they sorted out my query within a few hours. Can't see I'll be bothering much with Quidco in the future.
  • can anyone please tell me where I look to see if they've taken my £5 on February. Seen it previously but cant find it now.

why bother with quidco, when topcashback pays more and is totally free? I found that quidco had charged me a fiver about 6 months ago and when i asked them they said it was a fiver a year, but i was never told, so now i just use top cash back instead :) :T

If you are in the middle of a membership year and have already paid your £5 you may as well stay as a premium member until the year end. Why rush to downgrade or leave?
