Biggest con i have ever seen. How can a company charge one customer one rate and another a different rate for basically the same service.
Quicker payments, thats a joke with quidco, i have five transactions still not paid after a year and when i contacted their cs team about a missing transaction, i was told short and sweet the company i used can take 6 - 9 months to uplift to confirmed. The company stats on quidco state 3 months to confirmed so i do not trust them anymore.
To charge me £5 while not charging others is the last straw for me, i will downgrade when i can just in case i do ever use them again and have to forfit another £5 this year.
Vote with your feet or fingers in this case and leave quidco and do all our transactions through a totally free cashback website - topcashback.

In addition, it won't let me downgrade until next February.
It's adopting the business practise of those who give "windows to cancel" Hoping that you don't.

    Unfair.

It should be an option to change to a charging regime, not charged and an option to not be charged.

    Premium. Nothing premium about it.
    :(

To be fair, you're not changing to a charging regime. You're maintaining a charging regime. You are no worse off today with quidco than you thought you would be last week.

My downgrade option was greyed out til October, even though I haven't used te site in the past week.

I've sent them a message asking to be downgraded. I mainly use TCB but was planning on buying a phone via quidco in the next couple of weeks.

I'm a bit confused by Quidco.

Been with them for several years and knew when I joined they would take £5 a year from my cashback ... assuming there was any cashback to take it from.

Like others I haven't used quidco much, preferring TopCashBack which is entirely free, and which I discovered after joining quidco. I don't use cashback sites much anyway.

However, earlier this year I did get a small cashback via quidco. To be honest I was suprised my account was still valid, but as it was and TCB did not offer cashback I used quidco.

I thought I would never see the cashback as it was less than £5.00
(but thought at least it will offest the £5.00 charge if I do decide to use them again this year)

To my surprise, last month quidco paid me the cashback in full i.e. no £5.00 charge. :)
(Good job I've not changed my bank account over the years)

I got the email a couple of days ago saying I was now a premium customer :(

can anyone please tell me where I look to see if they've taken my £5 on February. Seen it previously but cant find it now.

If you look in your account, it should show all the cashback ever earned, and the quidco charges applied :)

I've been allocated PREMIUM too. Does this mean we still get charged £5 annually, and the basic customers dont'?!

    That's it in a nutshell.

You may be able to change it to a free user as others have explained.
  • I guess the experience of others is different but...

Over the years I have had cause to raise claims with Quidco about 6 times. They have NEVER FAILED to correct the error.

On TCB, I have raised two or three claims. They have NEVER SUCCEEDED in correcting the error.

So for that reason alone I thought Quidco was worth £5 a year and have quietly dropped TCB.

But maybe Quidco basic is the best of both worlds.

They have just guaranteed that I will not use them until October so a bit of an own goal really.
