I got an email telling me in "premium". I had hoped I had won something!
  • I've been allocated PREMIUM too. Does this mean we still get charged £5 annually, and the basic customers dont'?!

I dont want to be in premium. I'm happy with basic if I dont pay the £5 fee. On the website it just says payments are confirmed quicker it doesnt mean to say companies will pay Quidco any quicker.

Exactly Quidco is losing ground to TCB and looking to stop the rot by moving some to a free service and some to a premium service. The premium appear to offer nothing as you still dont get paid until Quidco get their money.

I left Quidco ages ago as they did little more for their £5 a year and it appears despite the PR the situation remains

I have not used Quidco for 3 years since I started using TCB, so have been put on the Basic Membership. I can't see the value of paying the £5.

From my Summary, it suggests I've got until August to downgrade to avoid paying another £5.

Can anyone think of any decent reasons to stay as Premium, apart from the (bogus) yarn they have spun about 'faster payments' and (self-defeating) claim of 'improved service'?

I read Quidco's email and didn't see the mention of 'loyalty' rewards that it mentions in the MSE article.

When can you downgrade to a Basic account?

If you are a Quidco Premium member you can downgrade to a Basic account at any time after your sign-up anniversary so long as you haven’t made a purchase since being upgraded.

Once you’ve made a purchase your Quidco Premium membership remains active until the anniversary of your upgrade has passed.

You can check your anniversary date at any time via the Settings Page.

If you’re still unsure of when you can downgrade, please refer to the following examples:

If you became a Quidco member in January 2013 and have been automatically upgraded to Quidco Premium, the next time you can downgrade is January 2014.
If you are a new member who has signed up to Quidco Premium after its launch on 15 April 2013 you can downgrade at any time until you make your first purchase. After your first purchase your anniversary date will be one year from the day you signed up to Quidco

Basically you can downgrade now provided you've not made a purchase in the last day or so.

I would down grade, they are pants when merchants like orange dont pay on vlid transactions
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
