Is a new sim from Vodafone, the above link does not work, now I cant even transfer files via wi fi network at home, the Blackberry Link software crashes my PC,all in all this phone is a pile of cr*p,and Vodafone will not even think about letting me change the phone, what wonderful customer service from a big company making huge profits, how would it hurt them to let me change the phone for one that works?I pay a lot each month,it just means that when my contract is finished,so are they.Sad.
Thank-you to all who tried to help, much appreciated.:)
I do have another phone on EE,that comes up for upgrade soon,so will sell Z10 then, and go for the Galaxy S4.Kawasaki z750 Rider!0 -

When I had a similar problem, not connecting except at home, I went into the settings. The WiFi setup was set to auto. I reset it to manual and rescanned the networks and the one I needed, a pub, popped up. Might be something as simple as that. :cool:0

Was this on a Blackberry z10???? I cannot find any settings on this dam phone to allow me to change it,in fact, not many settings at all,it's all automatic, and looking on the wrong channels.Kawasaki z750 Rider!0 -
Sheesh will the penny ever drop!
It is not looking on the wrong channels.
Many devices are produced that will only work on wireless channels 1-11 which are allowed in all countries around the world.
The Blackberry headquarters are located in Ontario Canada where only channels 1 - 11 are permitted, so it is hardly surprising that it does not see your works router when set to channel 13.
You could have proved this when it was first suggested on page one of this [STRIKE]thread[/STRIKE] saga, by changing your own router to channel 13.
Do you still 'think' that the Z10 is useless simply because it will only connect to the 11 most commonly used channels? Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

Who cares where their headquarters are? If it's being sold in UK and if it isn't a grey import it has to be manufactured up to UK specifications, not Canadian.
"allowed in all countries" ? What if there were some country where only 5 channels were allowed?
Similarly, a TV that can't show one out of 13 UK channels is useless in UK.0
