School holidays are 13 weeks a year now.

It was 13 weeks when I was at school - 6 for summer, 2 for Easter, 2 for Christmas and 3 one week half-terms.

So if it's still 13 weeks, based on neverdespairgirl's child's schedule, they must have done away with half-terms?
  • I think my son gets more like 17 - 18 weeks a year, including half-terms.
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

Schools also have inset days that they often tag onto the holidays.
The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.
  • Son's school doesn't have inset days, fortunately, or he would really not learn anything.

    Some are, yes.

My darling 7 year old son broke up on 22nd March, and goes back tomorrow.

He hardly has time to learn anything between holidays, sometimes.[/QUOTE

I don't suppose your DS has access to MSE ? :D:rotfl:

Hold on a minute.......Earlier this year you posted about your boyfriend allegedly exposing himself to your young cousin via Skype.......... Are we talking about the same bloke here???

If so, then you have some serious mental issues which you need to address............

If not the same bloke then what does your boyfriend think of this Skype romance you're having???:rotfl:

Nope not the same guy, I've been single for over three months :) I'm going to talk to him on Skype tonight and see what he says.

I don't think DS' level of sexual education quite extends to married men, affairs, sh@g-trips and so forth, yet.

And he's definitely in bed, I tucked him up myself! With Swallows and Amazons, rather than Lady Chatterley's Lover.

He'll say, my wife doesnt understand me, my marriage has been dead for years, you are beautiful and the only one for me.

The same old !!!!!!!! people spout when they want a quick legover.

And this isnt a criticism, but suffering from depression isnt a get out clause to behave as badly as you like towards people and get away with it.

Ive suffered from depression in the past, it doesnt make me want to make a complete narna of myself by throwing myself at someone who has a wife and 4 kids.

I appreciate that you are vulnerable but this is exactly the reason why you should tell this guy to take a hike.

Hes a chancer and manipulative. And full of !!!!.
