I agree. But OK, so he comes home tonight, realises hes been busted and apologies as he should. I understand he has so good for him.
But in the meantime, he sees this thread. Yeh he started it but you've also posted stuff about him in public and called him names....
Surely, he'd have a right to an apology then?
Like I said, I totally agree with you about what he did. I dont do that sort of thing but I've got friends who are complete donuts like this....0 -
;60662269]Im wondering if the roles were reversed though, you same people would be excusing OPs behaviour making excuses like 'it serves him right for not paying you attention' and 'its only harmless fun'.
And you'd probably be egging her on with phrases like 'you go girl'.
Just wondering like.... ;-)
It's the whole tone of the message that the OP's OH left. It's not just banter in front of his mates, the tone of the message sounds like he was practically drooling over the picture and TBH you see those sorts of messages on FB under girls pictures all the time, and it just make the men who leave them look a bit pervy (sorry OP -Not suggesting the OP's OH is actually pervy, but that's what it looks like).
I'm not against anyone having a look and a laugh but that message sounds a bit more than that. And worse, he left it where all of his and OP's friends and family could see it.
OP, you did the right thing. I dont think you over or under reacted at all.0 -

For those who don't know, it's a term of abuse for people with congenital hypothyroidism. Used in the medical context, it's not necessarily insulting (like !!!!!!, for example) but I wish people wouldn't use it as an insult.
Are you sure about that?
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/cretin
2 completly separate meanings it seems.
OP: what was the content/context of the photo he posted on?
Was it sleazy? or was she riding a bike or something (that he might have a legitimate reason to comment on - albeit massively insenstively?)0 -
I'll go and hide now or you lot will be after me too! :-)
But, seriously, just remember we aren't all like that. Don't tar us all with the same brush.
Yes, sounds like OPs husb had nobhead moment but he doesnt sound all that bad and has apologised so he deserves a break.
I've got friends who are 50x worse than this, and I also know some of their wifes who are 50x worse than you lot. I've got friends who's wifes would go off on one if they even spoke to a member of the opposite sex. Its weird.0 -

OK. Heres a question for you on the subject of men and their attitudes....
Would you be happy if your husb went to Hooters, see a strip show, lapdancing place? (Not suggesting they post details of trip on facebook afterwards mind - thats a bit much).
I've done some of these in the past (not regularly mind). Mrs knows and does not give a toss. To be honest, I think shes been to the male strip show things in the past.
BUT, I've got friends wifes who would, literally, cut off their bits if they did this. Myself and my wife find this very strange.
I trust my wife, she trusts me . I'd never do anything to hurt her and vice versa but things like this are harmless at the end of the day......
Of course, MASSIVE difference to visting a strip club with your mates, and taking someone home. COMPLETELY DIFFERENT BALL GAME.0 -

I do know a few people who would do the same. Both the men and the ladies.0 -

The prude in me wouldn't like it, but I wouldn't stop him, if he was with his mates and having a laugh. If he went to a strip club on his own then it looks like a whole other thing.0 -

For my husband's stag do he went to strip club where one of the blokes paid the lovely ladies there thirty quid to 'humiliate him'...apparently they spanked him on stage and he came home with a naughty word written in permanent marker on his chest and one on his forehead.
so naw, no problem with that. i just wish they hadn't used permanent marker as he then saw my aunties the next day and you could still make the word out on his forehead :rotfl:Little Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6
