Far be it for a man to be allowed some independent thoughts and freedom of expression whilst existing under the jackboot of his female companion.

Freedom of expression! He's hardly fighting the facist opressors is he? 'First they came for the right to comment on babes on facebook...'

Presumably this man didn't enter into a monogamous marriage with a gun held to his head.

Posting 'wow you look lovey' or 'nice photo' is one thing, but 'I'd shag you given half a chance?' Sorry OP but he sounds like a wrong un to me.

I am very sorry to hear this news OP.

What a horrible shock it must have been for you to have found this vile correspondence. Your husband has treated you with total contempt and betrayed you by his actions. That is a really cold and callous thing to do. On a forum like facebook to boot, so he has made all this public too. I dont blame you for feeling devestated by this and extremely let down.

I realise that you two have a young baby but if I were in your shoes I would be thinking that this was a man I could not be in a relationship with any more. He has really let you and your child down and shown little regards for your feelings. You dont do any of those things to a person you love, value, trust and respect.

You deserve to be treated far better.

Nobbish behaviour undoubtedly but lets get a bit of perspective is it?
After all, isnt the OP now abusing him on a public forum? Surely, theres a lot to be said for having a quiet word?

I assume husband uses real name on facebook. Whereas OP is anonymous here.

I suggest that the OP pulls out all the stops this evening and cooks a delicious home-made beef pie for husbeast's dinner tonight. With Pedigree Chum.

    Full of meaty goodness... ;)

Best wishes, OP - hope the errant OH has learned his lesson. xx

Im wondering if the roles were reversed though, you same people would be excusing OPs behaviour making excuses like 'it serves him right for not paying you attention' and 'its only harmless fun'.

And you'd probably be egging her on with phrases like 'you go girl'.

    Just wondering like.... ;-)

i think you should instigate the Stupid Tax for something like that, what an idiot.
Last time my husband was an idiot i used the Stupid Tax to buy a dress i really liked.
A Spa weekend at a posh hotel i reckon, he can stay home holding the baby for a weekend so he can truly appreciate all you do whilst he's snoring and sleazing x

Seriously? I thank my lucky stars some days that I'm not married to someone who plays these little games..... What is the point?

If you've got such an issue with your partner then do something about it. Divorce them if needs be.

And yes, sometimes there is something to be said for a quiet word but if the alternative to posting on a forum he doesn't use to let off some steam and having a calm conversation with him when he gets home is to feel cross all day, lose perspective and want to strangle him by the time he gets home then I'll take venting thanks.
If you lend someone £20 and never see them again, it was probably £20 well spent...

The tone of his comment is wrong considering he is a married man with a baby. As the op has pointed out already, friends and family will have seen his comment which shows to them a lack of respect for OP. his sister seems to agree with OP too as has mentioned it.

This is an anonymous vent which to be fair has probably meant he will get off slightly lighter than if the OP hadn't been able to do this.

I doubt it. Have a look at some of the recent threads where women admit to having sent sexy text messages to other people. And were ripped to shreds for it.

OP why do you call him husbeast. Find that quite nauseating...

Fair enough. He was bang out of order like I said. He certainly deserves a talking to.

But what if he finds this thread. Surely then you're going to lose the moral high ground here because you are abusing him on another public forum.

    Two wrongs and all that...

Years ago you'd gather round a group of girlfriends over a cuppa and have a bloody good moan.
Times have changed, people can't be as close as they were anymore and gathering the girls round for a rant needs military planning.
The modern equivalent of that cuppa and a rant are forums, forums where most people are anonymous usernames but they can still offer support and advice to someone who's a bit annoyed and needs to get some perspective on it.

OP isn't abusing anyone on a public forum is she? She's letting off a bit of steam with a group of 'girlfriends' all be them virtual ones and she's perfectly inclined to do so.
