Your very welcome Jwil I hope you get some decent vouchers.

Speaking of vouchers I used the steak ones today, so we are having Stk, chips peas and mushrooms for tea and DD has just made a rhubarb crumble so we are having that with cream nom nom.

So spends today have been quite high as Have had a couple of CC to pay just the usual min payment, so £147 to barc card and £31 to post off1ce CC, spend s in Tesco £3.34, bought steak for 4 of us, breaky cereal, cake cases and clingfilm also used £2 in clubcard vouchers. Also posted ebay parcel but postage was covered in the price.

    £10 sainsbug voucher redeemed from valu£d opin!ons.

I had the same Orchard vouchers, Dad and I had a lovely steak and salad on Sunday night with them. So far I'm liking the Orchard campaigns as until this one they've always been for Finest stuff which is a rare treat.

  • I agree Scuba, Steak was lovely and a nice treat, I have also taken part in the finest cheese one and a veg one around christmas time, we ate a lot of carrot and coriander soup as I timed getting my carrots which worked out free with a load of packs of coriander think they were reduced down to 12p a pack :D.

  • We are back :j, had a fantastic break and managed to spend £114, so slightly over budget, but nothing was put on a CC :D.

Arrived home yesterday afternoon, made a mad dash to aldi to stock up spent £84 , had friends around for a BBQ which was lovely.
We have some meat left over so going to have another BBQ tonight as we still have plenty of charcoal left which we will eek out with some wood, daft putting electric oven on when we have charcoal ;).

DH has set to on making a new chicken coop, a friend currently has some oldish chicks that we will buy off her cheaply (no pun intended :rotfl:)
so hopefully we will eventually be getting 5/6 eggs a day and can sell any surplus.

Came home from hols to find a letter from work, I have received a small payrise which works out at around £30 a month :), not a huge amount but every little helps and with the money i'm paying back to tax credits finishing this month I will be £80 a month better off :D.
Also came home to a parcel with 3 fabreeze products to test and DH had a cheque for £6 from eon as we have changed to scott!sh pow£r.

Need to do a proper check of finances tomorrow as I know its a really tight month this month.

Spent the morning baking and doing holiday washing but a least the sun is out and its all out drying.

    Hope everyones ok.x.

Glad you had a great break.

Yay for lots of freebies, and extra money though!

  • Having a funny kind of day and I can't really explain it and you will probably all think I am mad, but I have had this awful feeling in the pit of my stomach all day as if something is going to happen, I really can't explain it I woke up in the night for no reason but felt all anxious and it just hasn't gone away, sorry just had to get it off my chest If I told DH he would think I had gone nuts.

Filled out a form online this morning to claim ppi back from barc card, I have this horrid feeling I've filled it out wrong, I was stupidly trying to do it before rushing out the door, kids were playing up and then neighbour popped round and I didn't want her to see what i was doing so quickly sent it without checking it properly, oh well nothing I can do now, might as well try and forget about it.

Received a £10 SAINSBUGS voucher this morning through the post from valu£d 0pinions, so that will come in handy for next weeks shop.

Back to work and school tomorrow, can't believe we only have this half term left and then another school year is done and dusted, time does fly.

Hope everyone is ok, take care.x.
  • Hope the feeling of dread goes away, not nice when that happens.

I just said the same thing re back to school tomorrow! Can't believe it's only 7 weeks then my baby leaves primary school (and my smaller baby goes up to reception!!).

  • Hi Mummy, I'm not sure if it was the Barc card thing or not, not sleeping brilliantly at the minute, just have a something is bugging me feeling a the minute but can't put my finger on exactly what it is.

Well I'm pleased to report that the last payment to Tax cred!ts went out today :j, so thats a debt paid off and I hope to never have to deal with the useless muppets again :rotfl:.

Eating some frugal meals at the minute, not that anyone seems to notice which is good, had spaghetti last night with a homemade tomato/garlic sauce and tonight we had cheese panini and salad. Have got a chicken out of freezer for tomorrows tea not sure what we are having with it as we are at school event tomorrow night so will be rushing around.

Managed to list a few items on ebay but not sure if they will sell, seems really slow for me at the minute, nothing happening with surveys:(, oh and to make a tight month even tighter I've had letter to say that subs for DS football need to be paid by 25th June even though the new season isn't until beginning of Sept , so thats another £70 to find from somewhere, better go and check the money tree in the garden:(.

    Hope everyones ok.pwps.
