So why even send flowers to the miserable relative ! She should count herself lucky to get a card. Ive cut a few toxic people out of my life, and Im not missing them one bit !
Its just a bad day, Not a bad life ..
  • Because it's a grandparent and I just can't bring myself to be that mean, I don't know I can't explain it and I guess I want to be the bigger, better person. I have cut out some very toxic people from my life and have said that after this Grandparents day there will be a lot more going.

Lol Ok, will let you off with a grandparent, not an easy one to drop. Good idea just to have them delivered tho, save you some pain.
Busy on the farm here too, hubby stressed about a water leak and the guy who trims bulls feet due to arrive shortly. Time the cows and calves were all out, still 6 to calve yet tho ... Wheres this month gone. :)

  • Thanks mara - sounds like your busy too, try to explain to friends when I can't do something that farming is not a job it's a lifestyle and a blinking hard one. Hope the cows calve ok and the water leak is sorted.
  • Well we have had a lovely bright morning but now the clouds are rolling in and it looks as though it could rain, at least i have got a load of washing dried and managed to clean the windows outside, now need to do the inside.

Been to mr s today and spent £38.02, think i have got everything i need for the week but will be going to Mr T tomorrow to use the steak voucher i have.

Have done a bit of cooking today rhubarb crumble, choc chip loaf and made some burgers similar to a girl called jacks kidney bean, carrot and cumin ones, I had no kidney beans so used some cannellini beans I also added some garlic and chilli to the mixture, they have cost pence to make and were really yummy had in a whoopsed bread roll with some lettuce and mango chutney, i will making these again, I think they would be nice cold as well in a pitta with salad and mayo.

Really looking forward to going away next week, I have saved £100 and so has DH, although I don't think we will need this much and will take as much food with me as possible.

I have a couple of £bay items ending today and will hopefully make around £10. Forgotten that next month is the last payment back to tax credits but they are taking £92 instead of £50 but at least that is then done and another debt gone, DS also has a school trip I need to pay for and there is also a couple of big birthdays, one of which is a friends 30th so this is all extra money to find, I was really wanting to start saving for school uniform but not sure if it will be possible until july:(.

DS is being a real pain in the butt at the minute, whinging, back chatting and basically being obnoxious, I hope he snaps out of it before we go away.

Hope evryone has had a fun weekend in the sun, take care, pwps.x.
  • Well done on the savings for the holiday Penny:beer::beer:
And even better to have the tax credits nearly done and dusted:j:j
I've got school uniform to factor in for June as the shop does a 10% discount for all of June and then holiday club to fund for the summer:(
But like you washing dried on the line, so all good!:rotfl:

  • Hi PWD, hope the sun is still shining with you.

Quick update - Made just over £10 on ebay yesterday, so that money has been moved over to saving account, have roughly worked out I'm going to need around £160 extra next month so I'm actually going to aim for £200 and hope there is a little bit left over to go into uniform pot.

Sent ebay parcel today of which the postage was covered, so only spend was on a stamp think it was 62p, resisted the yummy cakes in the post office, nipped into Mr T to get some steak as I had £4 voucher to use but what they had on the shelves didn't look overly nice so walked out buying nothing:), universe must have been watching over me because when I got home today postie had brought me my clubcard statement with £3.50 of vouchers so will pop back later in the week with all the vouchers and try and get some steak for free :D.

Last week at school before half term and then we are on count down to summer hols, I cannot believe another school year has gone by already .

Off to catch up with surveys, take care.

I've seen a few people mention these steak vouchers - what are they and why don't I have one? :D

I admire you for being the bigger person with your grandparent, I don't think I could be as patient!

  • Hi Jwil, the vouchers are from a site that Tesco run where you bget to try things out a bit like buzzag3nts.

here is a link for them - there is a little join in button in the top corner.
