Morning.
Made some yummy muesli cookies last night, Its a Mary Berry recipe and they seem to have been a hit, also means I've used up the muesli that's been lurking in the cupboard.
DH irritating me at the minute, I know he is only trying to help but keeps trying to organise me, I think he forgets I'm not a member of his staff and don't need telling what to do , I know he means well but is so bl**dy annoying.
Not too sure what tea is tonight, need to go and delve into the freezer and see what I can find, thinking along the lines of pasta and something.
Off to get dressed and make my lunch, have a good day.x.0 -
Great news about the pony, grr to annoying OH's though "Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

Hi PWPS
Fab news on the Pony, is a little MSE naughty. My dd would love a pony, but she got thrown off a couple of times last Christmas and seems to have lost her confidence. Its been abit of a relief the stop the weekly riding lessons at £27.50, but its sad that she doesn't want to do it anymore. She is only 7, so hoping she may get back into it when she is abit older.
Oooh those muesli cookies sound fab, will google that recipe as we have a large jar of muesli that could do with being used up.
Bums about hubby, maybe is his own way he is trying to help. But falling abit short
Have a good day, hope the snow holds off xxx0 -
Afternoon ladies.
Jwil - thanks for popping by.
Stressedsteph - Your right its not the most mse thing, but DD is so happy, I can't explain the joy I have everytime she walks into the stable and cuddles her pony and tells her I can't believe your all mine, honestly to see my daughters face and see how much she apprieciates her is amazing, it just melts my heart.
Let me know if you can't find the recipe for the cookies and I will post it on here.
Weather is crazy wild, no snow just rain and sleet.
Nipped into Tesco for ladies monthly items (may explain DH annoying me) and got DH some chocs for Friday.
Decided on Pesto pasta and garlic bread for tea tonight, took a pork shoulder out of freezer, will marinade overnight in chinese marinade and put inn slow cooker tomorrow and then finish in the oven to crisp up, nom nom,nom.0 -
Evening, quick catchup before tea, which happens to be slow roasted chinese pork, pork shoulder thats been in the slow cooker all day with soysauce, 5 spice, ginger garlic, chilli and honey, it smells amazing, i'm just fnishing it off in the oven so it goes all sticky and crispy nom nom nom.
Went into Town after work, so I've had a few small spends but all needs, DD birthday present was a bargain, should have been £39.99 but was half price at £19.99 and I had a £15 argos voucher so got it for £4.99 :j, spent £5ish on some earrings off DS for DD birthday.
Nipped into Iceland as I had a £10 compliments voucher in my bag that I knew could be spent there, I got some fresh mince beef, bacon and sausages, also some frozen fish fingers (good for half termlunches, love FF butties) some cheese and some choc mousses, total spent in cold hard cash 75p:D, so a few meals there which is fab.
Also went into sainsburys for a few bits we needed spent £6.93, but £3 of that were bits for work so will get the cash back tomorrow.
Work was crazy today, had to say no to doing something in my lunch break, don't think it went down well, but as I had missed my morning break i wasn't giving up half my lunch as well.
Right hubbie has walked through the door, better dish tea up.0 -

Great news about the pony.. I have to say, life still goes on whilst you're trying to clear debt and if you didn't do anything because of money, you'd miss out on a lot, so whoop to the pony!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Thankyou debtfreeoneday, thats very sweet of you and I totally agree life does go on and as my hubby said yesterday we are going forward not backward and every month we are a little bit closer and the children are happy.
DD had a lovely day yesterday and loved her presents, she had a friend over to stay, we had lunch at macdonalds ,she then went to play ponies for a couple of hours, pony was brushed, hair plaited and fussed over, girls then came home had a tea of pasta and cream cakes (dd request).
and then watched DVDs in bed scoffing sweets and popcorn.
DD gave me a huge hug before bed and said thankyou for the best birthday and christmas ever, which made me cry, I have such a sweet, beautiful daughter, I'm so proud of her.
Spent most of today cooking, cleaning and waiting on asda delivery, decided it would be cheaper to have a delivery than take DD/DS food shopping, spent £80 and cupboards are full.
HAve done some cooking made soup. cooked some mince beef ad onion ready for a pie tomorrow and baked a sponge cake for the hungry hoards, DS is now eating man sized portions and he has had 2 fiends round today who also seem to be able to eat for England, made a batch of pancakes for a snack served with syrup and they ate loads:eek:.
DD BFF birthday next weekend so I've just ordered a present from amazon for her, so thats another £15 gone, also another of DD friends birthday next week but I already have a little gift set that I got for christmas that can be re gifted, must buy a card though.
I have listed a couple of items on ebay, not sure if they will sell, ut its worth a shot.
I think thats all for today.0
