  • Oh fab sounds like a bargain to me then! I remember getting a pony on my 9th birthday and dad hadn't sorted out a stable for it, it ended up living in our garden for 2 weeks before going to stables & fields :p was great fun! I reckon you'll get your money's worth for sure then and a happy daughter to boot, you can't go wrong really :)

  • That made me laugh, your pony living in the garden.
  • Anyone else watching the Winter Olympics, I'm loving it currently watching the figure skating and in total ore, I can barely stand on ice, the snowboarding was fantastic this morning and we got a medal :j, wish I was 10 years younger as I would love to learn to snowboard.
  • Good morning.

Tea last night was delish, plenty of beef left I have frozen some ad the rest will be used in a beef stir fry tomorrow, tonight we are on jkt spuds, cheese and beans.

Couple of spends today, 1 being milk in tesco and the other fuel, apart from that I really don't think we need anything.

Last week at work/ school and then we break up for a weeks holiday, have to say I'm ready for it and I'm building a long list of jobs to tackle for when I'm off, both children need a pound on Friday as they can go to school in own clothes, so must put some change to one side.

DD has had a growth spurt and I think she is going to need a couple of new school skirts, hopefully they will then last her to summer, then its a whole new uniform as she is off to secondary school :(, will take a look in asda next week and see if they have anything suitable.

Hope everyone has a good day and isn't too affected by the weather, my thoughts are with all those down south that are having a horrific time, I have a warm dry house and food in the cupboards its a lot to be thankful for.

:A I agree we do have a lot to be thankful for :A the pictures on the news look awful in some areas. I also have a friend from Chertsey on fb who's son was friends with the little boy who passed away (last I heard it could have been because of the floods) it's really made me stop and think before I moan about anything over the last few days

  • Afternoon.

DFW, thats so sad about the little boy that died.

Hectic morning at work, but it made it go very quickly.

Couple of spends this morning -

    £20 on fuel
£1.50 on milk, currently on offer in Tesco 3 x 4pints for £3 and used a £1.50 clubcard voucher.
    £3.50 on contact lens solution.

Postie has brought me some cheese vouchers for Tesco and £2 in clubcard vouchers.

Just watching last nights call the midwife, then I'm off to sort the animals and pick children up from school.
  • Morning and gosh it's a cold one, it was so windy during the night, waiting for it to get a bit lighter so I can see into the garden and see if there is any damage, really feel like hibernating today, sadly I need to go to work.

Today should be a NSD as there is nothing we need, may need to get a couple of bits tomorrow for packed lunches.

Going to use left over beef for tea tonight, not decided whether I'm making stir fry or curry, will ask the troops what they fancy, will also make a rice pud as we have plenty of milk.

Might do some baking as well tonight, either biscuits or a ginger cake not sure until I look in the baking cupboard and see what we have in.

I have a couple of bits to go on ebay, so I must get those sorted and listed over the next few days.

    Have a good day, pwps.x.

Wonderful news that DD has a pony of her own. I know my DD dreamed of owning one.

It was snowy this morning here but most has thawed and the roads are okay.
The weather in the South is dreadful so I hope you are okay where you are. We are the ones who usually get the 90 mile an hour winds, sideways rain and flooding. It is relatively mild here.
business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

  • Ohhh you're back Penny:j:j
Fab news about the pony, hope DD doesn't practice hair straightening on it's mane and tail!!
There's a yard here that does pony parties and they let the girls paint the ponies pink and tie ribbons on them etc. When i was in PC it was very strict and yah, all change (thankfully).

  • Thanks guys, DD loves her to bits and is very good at going out in the nasty weather to do the yucky jobs, which we stressed to her before we got her that she would have to go out in all weathers and muck out etc, bless her this weather has tested her, but she hasn't moaned once and has just got on with it which proves to me just how much she wanted her.

Pooh the weather in Lancashire is cold and wet, no snow just horrid sleety stuff.
