  • Good idea about CS didn't think of that will have a look tomorrow after work as I'm going into town, DD has hit that age of being really bothered with how she looks so I know freecycle will be no good as I won't be able to see the style or colour.
  • Glad wages went in, but urgh to the rent issue.

DD might be ok with a fleece and a bodywarmer? No, that does not make you a bad mother! x

 Rest of rent still not paid

Ok moving onto more positive issue, this is my mantra at the moment to try not to get hung up on things I cannot control.

I got DD a new coat from New look in the end, it was £18 in the sale and I used my £15 voucher I had and put £3 cash to it, daughter is happy so that's the main thing.

Went to Mr T today as I had a load of vouchers to use and for a lot of things that were on offer :D, so shopping came to £16.59 and I managed to save £6.30 using vouchers and I'm going to pay this off Mr T credit card, also a voucher for 30p didn't go through the till so I took it to customer services and got the money, think the women thought I was mad, but Id bought the product and I wanted MY 30p, put the 30p into the holiday tin. Also spent £5.64 IN sainsbugs on bits that were on offer that we use.

Also transferred 85p to holiday account this morning and its slowly adding up.

Currently stretching a pack of beef mince I got reduced to 82p, have made a batch of chilli for tonights tea and a bolagnaise sauce for another night, bulked it out with lots of veggies.

    Hope everyone is well. pwps.x.
  • Good morning.

Well yesterday was a busy day, work was busy and I've been booked in to do a couple of courses which is good, did an hour of overtime yesterday as well and will do the same next week, not a lot but will be a few pounds more to throw at the CC.

Took DS to sports club last night, whilst he was there I met a friend for a drink and catch up, which was really nice, spent £6.50 and I also needed fuel so another £30 gone.

Picked DS up and popped into Mr T for toothpaste and managed to get some bargains, cooked rst chicken thighs 23p, 6 lemons 20p and my biggest bargain of all 72 bread rolls for 30p:j, also got some Christmas biscuits and choccie that was reduced, I spent £7,74.

todays plans are to do the mountain of ironing, make lemon drizzle cake, soup an start making Christmas tags from old Christmas cards.

Also have an Item to list on ebay and need to catch up on surveys, go through accounts and see where we are money wise, rent money has been paid to agent so waiting for it to arrive in my account, which will be wed/thurs next week.

    Take care pwps.
  • We'll done on the coat Penny, and the Tesco bargains, may send DH out later to find the rolls!
Bought some reduced choc in wh smith today,:D
Bril that the rent is on the way too, all sounding good:D
Weight: need to lose 71lbs - lost to date 0lbs
    One Poll: £3.20
    My Survey: £0.00
    Ebay: £0.00
  • Morning PWD, things do seem to be good at the minute.

Where has the weekend gone, does seem to fly by too quickly.

Yesterday was a busy day, church in the morning as children's school were doing some readings which was nice, also small spend as I put money in the collection and also stayed for a coffee afterwards.

DS had a football match, It was cold wet and just plain horrible, DD refused to get out of the car, anyway they won so that was good, I was also good and organised and took a flask of coffee and some reduced choccie that I got the other day in Tesco, so managed to not spend anything:).

Sold an item on ebay:), so £6 made will send that to the horrid CC.

DD put 27p in the holiday tin, bless her she found it whilst tidying her room and insisted it must go in to put towards a treat:D.

    Plans today -

    Post ebay parcel.
    Pay school lunch money.
    WORK :(.
    Make Rst chicken dinner.
    Feed/clean out assorted animals.
    Bake for lunch boxes.
Put all clean washing away which is sat on dining table.
    sweep/mop through downstairs.
Try to dig out DS bedroom (I may be gone sometime).

Hope everyone is well, have a good day. Pwps.x.
  • Morning, hope work isn't too bad! Has the rest of the rent been paid yet? It's awful when you rely on the money and it's not paid (as you know been there and done that too many times to count) I really hope it's paid soon. xx

  • Morning Penny

its a cold wet Monday here too....just feel like battening down the hatches but so much needs doing here.

Roast chicken for tea sounds lovely. Take care yourself.
  • MOrning guys, hope your all ok.

Rent money still not paid and I'm feeling quite peed off and sick about it at the same time, my whole budget is screwed until I get it :(.

Next ten days I need to pay:

    Barc card £156.90
    Halifax cc £ 62.76
    Post office CC £32.00
all need paying by 25th

    Petrol £25.00 (minimum)
    school dins £8.80
    sports club £27.00
    animal food/etc £20.00

    = £312.46

I currently have £95.45 in my bank account and I'm waiting on £230 of the missing rent money:mad:.

Also no budget there for food, I have £10 in nectar points which I will use at sainsburys and a £10sainsbugs gift card, so I can get some bits with that, there is a few bits in the freezer so I thik we will be ok food wise for a week, I also get child ben on the 28th, so that will help.

I may end up raiding holiday and £2 tin :(.:(

Need to get my act together with surveys as I have been really lazy with them recently, hence no extra money coming in.

Off for a shower and get the kids up.
  • oh god that's quite a shortfall :( has any reason been offered for the rent not being paid? I.e they overspent at christmas.....you'd think rent would be the TOP of the agenda in the scheme of where to spend your money but the more I read these boards and from my own experiences it seems not :( ....I sincerely hope they pay you before everything is due out xx
